We had a great time at the Bavaro Princess! It was our first all inclusive vacation and we thought everything was great! We would definitely go back to this resort! All the workers were very helpful and friendly. The beach was beautiful!

Families with children should steer clear. The pool featured a DJ blasting the most explicitly vulgar music that one can imagine. Storm damage made traveling on the "bus" a most unpleasant experience as one must lift their legs as they ride through the foul smelling flooded areas of the pathways. After a very overrated dinner at the Licey restaurant, my wife and I stood outside for twenty minutes before someone saw fit to tell us that the bus did not run in the rain. We had to walk to the lobby area in the pouring rain. When we reached the detour route that the bus using, a nearly empty bus ignored my wife's plea to stop. Out of the 13 people in our group, 10 were struck ill and two were hospitalized. It wasn't a great trip.

We have been to the Bavaro Princess for the past 3 years and always have excellent service. My husband is handicap they always accomidate our room when we get there. We have taken family members with us and always recommend Apple Vacations to our friends because of how well our trips have gone. We missed our flight this past trip and I called at 7 am and Angela was able to help me figure out what I had to do and us another flight. Hated that we lost a day of Punta Cana but your agency was right there for me. Thank you

Bavaro Princess NOT EVER AGAIN
Sep 28 2017
Review has nothing to do with any hurricanes, rain or wind damage. Paid for upgrade To Platinum. I believe that is a joke. Spoke to other guest who described their rooms and showed them pics of ours and theirs was much nicer. I think platinum meant OLD. Walked into room and it smelled of glue or something, found out was fresh epoxy on shower/floor. Bathroom was nasty with dirty chalking, chipped tiles and rain shower hanging loose from wall. Bedroom and main area floors and walls were always damp and we were always slipping on floor. Bed and pillows had odor. My Moms room phone never worked and her sheets and pillows smelled worse than ours. No room service, no drink wait staff at pool had to go to swim up bar for drinks. All food was greasy and tasted like stale spoiled olive oil. And the most horrific smell of my life (worse than a sewage plant) swamp area that we had to drive through on shuttle to lobby/main buffet/theater!!

The hotel grounds, hotel room, and facilities were wonderful. Although there were numerous specialty restaurants there were no reservations in the wait was it at least one hour to get a table. The worst part of the trip is that four out of six of us developed significant travelers diarrhea. The beach was beautiful except for the significant amount of seaweed in the water and on the beach. Wine Room was infested with mosquitoes The staff was nice and overall it was a good vacation

While an all inclusive means everything, be expected to feel obligated to tip everyone or be asked to tip them. The staff, the peddlers on the beach, the locals selling their , everyone wants tipped. It got to the point of being annoying.

DR Food
Aug 08 2017
Our overall experience was good but we were disappointed with food quality and our hotel. Not only did 3 of the 5 of us get sick but we really thought the taste/presentation was way off for this quality of a resort. Also each room was provided with 2 beers in the frig each day and no liquor nor could we request extra beer without being charged. Room service was also extra. Our room was clean and the resort nice (yet very big). We have traveled to Cancun before and always had good quality food/drink. DR did not match up in our minds.

First of all, let me say the staff were very sweet - as they are not my issue. We went just after Hurricane Maria. We had asked for days and days and days before we left to confirm the resort was 100% passenger ready as this was or Honeymoon. We were told prior to departure it was, even knowing the possible damage to the Dominican. Upon arrival, we noticed the roof was damaged and thought it was just from the winds. When we arrived on the path to our room, we had to be driven as there was about 2 ft of water to our room. Upon entering we noticed that our shower was hanging out of the wall. When we took our first shower it leaked into our entire bathroom, but of course by the time maintenance got there they saw “nothing” because it had drained. When we went for a walk, the spa roof was half ripped off and closed had maintenance being done on it for the majority of the vacation. Some of the water features were drained, or being drained. The pathway to the beach had a disgusting smell which you could only pass through by vehicle because of the flood. The eco-park was completely flooded to about 3ft of water. They had restaurants closed, which meant we had to do both of our dinners at the fish restaurant, where they did have substitutes but made you feel absolutely uncomfortable when you asked for them. There were trees uprooted everywhere, the wait times to get back from the beach area to our room in the lobby was about 45 minutes. It was insane. I don’t need a reply from the hotel because as I tried through Sunwing they were completely dismissive, basically trying to turn the blame on us. We relied on YOU to confirm before leaving that it was 100% passenger ready and we were lied to. We were offered an upgrade next time we go, but we will never be returning to this resort again because we feel we cannot trust them. The only other thing was the buffet food was very good. But overall, extremely disappointed for the amount of money we spent on a honeymoon suite to have gone through this.

Dont blame it on the hurricane

Ok, this is not my first all-inclusive and probably not the last one either. I am an experienced traveler, see my reviews and I always try to keep my reviews unbiased. I will try to make this brief and helpful for those that do not pick the PLATINUM package, my case here. This hotel is not cheap. and not worth the premium. 1. ROOMS other than Platinum villas are old, out-of-date, and awful plumbing. We were part of a large wedding, and most of our friends in Block 3 had complaints and eventually moved out from the building for various reasons. 2. PLUMBING. Terrible. Toilet clogged, 4 times in 6 days. They don’t even rush coming down to fix it, the last day, I reported the toilet early morning, again, they didn’t come. Came back from a trip late in the afternoon, toilet not fixed, had to call again. It not the toilet itself, it the drains and the venting. The maintenance guy had to go out and fish the drain, outside of the room. Pour venting, sewer gas smell in the washroom, I know these things, I am an architect. Same for the shower drain, not draining, shower pan always full, almost overflowing onto the bathroom floor. 3. WATER PROBLEMS. No hot water for almost three days. On November 12, 13 and 14. Reported the first day, no positive outcome for almost 3 days. 4. ELECTRICITY failure, no power for over an hour during breakfast, that means no eggs, hot water for tea, no toast..etc..etc 5. BEACH ACCESS. Terrible. Long walk, trains come late and share the same narrow path (one person was hit by a vehicle mirror while walking on the path in the flooded area) with pedestrians, delivery and maintenance trucks, one concrete truck flipped on the narrow path closed to the À la carte restaurants. Path also flooded when raining, impossible to walk from the beach and restaurants area to the main lobby and upper buildings. It is not only rain/storm waters it is also a leak in the sewer system, exposed on the ground, terrible smell, and this is also a heath hazard. One of my friends slipped on the dirty path. Another lady in our group was hit by a small truck mirror in the night of the wedding. Terrible design/ layout/system. Trucks, motorcycles, carts and all maintenance and delivery trucks share the same access routs as pedestrian, and IT STINKS from the sewers. 6. FOOD. While wide in selection food has produced many victims. Almost everybody in our large group (almost 90 people) got sick, including the groom, the wedding photographer (2 days in bed, ended up with a call for an ambulance), the father of the bride and most the people I knew in the group. I even got sick, and I have developed a tick skin during my treks in the last 20 years. My issue was the Pescadore restaurant, the Lobster Bisque or the staffed Calamary, on November 13. Still suffering the consequences now, after 4 days! Be careful! 7. RESTAURANTS. Not bad …but there is slow pace of the waiters…and sometimes their ignorance hurts. One day at 8 am the guy at the omelette section run out of cheese, I waited 10 minuets to go get it…he never went. He just shook his shoulders, I had to accept a cheeseless omellete. The next day I moved to the other station, but that fellow didn’t know to make a good sunny side up egg. The Soup station ran out of bowls, I asked 3 people, the all say OK and disappeared. A few bowls materialized 20 minutes later. I am not a picky person, but this resort is not cheap comparing to the others and we expected a little more from it. 8. CASINO, don’t bother. The machines are old, they don’t work properly the get stuck and they don’t print credit receipts. The staff does not speak English. 9. BARS are good, no complains there. 10. BEACH AREA is dirty, not raked daily and too many souvenirs and tours vendors. It becomes annoying at some point, there are just too many of them and some are pushy, like the cigars and tours vendors. 11. LOBBY. Same in the lobby, some vendors are aggressive. It was an open marked one night, vendors were very belligerent with tourists coming to and from the restaurant. Another guy was trying to persuade me and a friend to buy some marketing packages for the hotel and promised I will make money in commission? Really? Lobby is crowded due to the free Wi-Fi, only works early morning and very late nights. There is no way you can connect during the day or evenings. Low broadband and too many users. People had to rent Modems for the week, those were also week, I tried one. So not much of the Free Wi-Fi advertised. There are few other things that disappointed, but I believe you guys get the picture. Good luck!

Everyone was very friendly, but Raphael at the pool bar was the BEST!! He was so friendly. He made us feel very welcome, and we would go back to the resort just to visit him if we could! The rooms were very nice, clean, and spacious. The food was delicious everywhere we went. My personal favorite was Bella Italiana. The house wine wasn't my favorite, but it was okay. They had a good wine selection so we purchased a couple bottles outside of our all-inclusive package. I would highly recommend Bavaro Princess to anyone looking for a fun trip to Punta Cana!

Omg , I love this place

I can not leave feedback on this wonderful hotel, all 8 days spent here were just magical. I think that I could not say it with confidence for 100 percent if it were not for the animation team and in particular the animator named Alex, thanks to this guy I understood what Dominican is and how beautiful this place is, Alex always answered my questions and was I'm kind and gentle, we danced with him and I think " omg i love this!" (I think that this guy is the best dancer on the whole contingent) Thank you very much Bavaro Princess and personally thank you Alex I fell in love with this hotel thanks to you ❤️🔥🔥
