Great Tennis Lessons, wonderful family vacations

We absolutely recommend the Tennis clinics with Cristo, the Tennis Pro. He is doing a really great job there. I started with Tennis in the Beginners Class and after one week only I really could see a big improvement that I would not have expected. I leave Los Cabos knowing that it is Cristos Work that I love Tennis now and I will certainly continue to play. The same with my three children: My eldest son is playing for 4 years now, but he told me that Cristo is the best teacher he ever had (in America and Germany). He was so sad that we had to leave, only because he won't be able to continue with Tennis with Cristo. The same with my other two kids: They just loved to learn Tennis with Cristo. Thanks a lot - we will never forget this week with you! Apart from that it was a wonderful family vacation for us: We enjoyed the beach and the sun and our kids loved to go to the Explorers Club (really nice people working there!) That's what most surprised us: The Mexicans were all really very very nice. And we absolutely enjoyed the great food there. For us everything was just perfect. We will miss Dreams Los Cabos and especially our Tennis Pro Cristo!

Just got back from Dreams Cabo golf resort and spa and me and my wife were disappointed. I booked the vacation thru their website. The confirmation did not mention anything about detail of transportation to and from the Cabo airport. We did email them and they said "it is all taking care of". So I assumed that there will be a transportation service with our name on it and we will be on the way to the resort. None of that happened and we have no idea who our transportation was. It took almost 2 hours to finally find out the transportation to the hotel. So the nightmare did not stop there. We decided to do "whale watching" with Esperenza tour company per Dreams' recommendation. The driver was not speaking english very well but we were told to wait at the pick up spot at "la terminal" near Breathless resort at 300 pm after finishing with our tour. We came back to the spot around 230 pm but no one showed up and there was no phone number to call them back even on the brochure they gave us. Luckily, the female agency at the entrance of "la terminal" (she was not working for the esperenza tour) was kind enough and asked if we need help. Thanks for the iPhone we googled the "esperenza tour" contact number and called them and that same female helped us talking to the tour company that we need the transportation back to "Dreams". It took them about 1 hour later (after calling them) to finally picked us up. I am still appreciate the kindness of that female agency in front of the "la terminal". No one from the tour company contacted us or explained us of what went wrong. Not even an apology. I wish I booked some other resorts.

Beautiful place. Dinner at the Oceana restaurant there was delicious and we were well taken care of by Jose Aguirre Marquez. All the staff was extremely friendly. I was unaware you couldn't swim in the ocean here when I booked so I was a little disappointed. The current here is too strong but you can walk down the beach to a little bay if you wanted. Overall, great place.

We went to stay in Los Cabos for a destination wedding - Amstar from the airport to the hotel was great, easy to find and quick service and that's about where it ended for them. When we were greeted at the hotel we were given champagne and we were asked to sit with an Amstar employee once we got our room number; they were trying to get us to sit through a timeshare presentation and book excursions through them. We politely declined and they didn't push us anymore. We were taken to our room by a bell boy and given details of the room and the resort. The room was amazing, we were in a king room with a view of the ocean and the main pool. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower was my favorite part - that rainfall shower head! The water kept going in and out of hot and HOTTER but that wasn't a big deal. Our first night we were to attend an event for the wedding guests, but decided to have dinner first, as we were told there would not be food at the event, just beverages. We go to Oceana and the hostess (very rudely) told us that they would not be able to seat us at that time because they were too busy and had to accommodate a table of 8. OK, table of 8 isn't that big, not to mention all of the empty tables in the restaurant. Finally after waiting 30 minutes or so, she sat us and the waiter told us it would be at least another 40 minutes for food - seriously?! We would have made a reservation - but you aren't able to make reservations for the restaurants, which we were told over and over again. We went to the front desk to let them know our dilemma and that we did not think that was acceptable - the young man at the front desk, called the food and beverage manager, Eduardo to assist us. Well he was probably the worst customer service representation I may have every seen. He made us all feel like our concerns were insignificant and that we were completely in the wrong for expecting to have dinner that night. I could go into even more detail, but I have more to say about other things. The next day, the wedding day, the bride was to get her hair and make up done in the salon, and made reservations well in advance for her big day - but apparently when she went to her scheduled appointment they didn't have her on the books. They tried to be accommodating, and fit her in right before another wedding party was to begin their services resulting in the hair stylist rushing through the brides hair and it turning out awful. As she is ruining her hair - the make up artist is attempting to put make up on the bride who was crying. She ended up leaving the salon and getting in the shower; she ended up doing her own hair and make up for her big day. What a NIGHTMARE! After all of that, I will say the wedding itself was exceptional. The ceremony was flawless, the cocktail hour was nice - the service for drinks was great, and the reception was beautiful. I mean, can you beat a wedding on a beautiful beach in Mexico surrounded by friends and family. The food at the wedding was delicious and the drinks were prompt. The next day we wanted to go into town for a whale watching tour that we booked before leaving the states. We wanted to get a shuttle or taxi to the marina - when we told them that we booked through something other than Amstar they would not help us at all. Then when we asked them to call us a taxi, they refused stating that we would get lost, it wasn't safe. FINALLY they called us a taxi, and we arrived at the marina safely, did not have any issues, and even got a taxi back to the resort no problem. The last day and the LAST straw. We brought our bags down and Amstar set them aside for us for our transfer to the airport. When it was time to get in the shuttle, our name wasn't on their list for the day/time that we were given - we had a form signed by Amstar. After waiting for the Amstar rep to try and find us on his list some place (20 minutes or so of calling and looking at his phone) he realizes that we were put on the wrong day - and somehow that is our fault. No one is willing to offer us any solutions, the next shuttle wouldn't be able to accommodate us. We end up needing to call a taxi for $50 when we were supposed to have a free shuttle. Great. Then we realize that we need cash for the taxi and have to get a cash advance, super the front desk can help. He says it will take 5-10 minutes to get cash in pesos for us - and I lost it. I broke down and cried in the lobby. We were already 30 minutes behind schedule to get to the airport, and I was very worried we wouldn't make our flight (luckily we ran to our gate with about 5 minutes to spare before boarding started). And no one batted an eye. The sweet kid behind the counter offered me a tissue, Aldo. I could not WAIT to leave this resort. One thing after another, and this was just the last piece. The resort itself was beautiful, the food was so-so over all, the service was SERIOUSLY lacking. I would not return on another trip to Cabo, and I would not recommend to anyone. It was very expensive and I would rather chance it at another all-inclusive rather than return here.

Fun time!

This is a great resort. If you are planning to be in the ocean that is not possible the reef is to strong. It is ocean front. The the food good and staff are wonderful. We would definitely go back, it was just the right size for us.
