We had an awesome time here and the main reason we had a great time was the entertainment staff. Lembat and chocolate were the best workers there and because of them, they made the trip fantastic. They got us up and dancing every day and interacted with us. They made us feel incredibly comfortable and were kind enough to make it a point to come say hi to us. We didn’t stay too long, 5 days, but it was just enough time to see who went above and beyond in their jobs. Much thanks to them. They went above and beyond to make every accommodation. The rooms were incredibly clean and they changed our sheets every day. They swept the floors constantly everywhere so there wasn’t sand everywhere. Dancing is awesome down here and again, because of chocolate and lembat it was even better. The only thing that wasn’t the best was the food. I️ would recommend going to the hibachi. That was the best food and the drinks and bartenders were great too. My boyfriend went and our friends that were dating. We went to Saona which was worth it. There’s a lot of devastation around the area but the hotels don’t let that effect them. It was fine to be away from the hotel as well.

First off, I am a flight attendant and I have stayed in countless hotels and resorts and I can honestly state that this property is superb. I have been here 7 days with 3 to go. From the minute I checked in to now it has been a sheer delight. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The room is spotless. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The food is over the top with endless options. Security everywhere which is nice to see. Endless activities. I am in building 19 which is centrally located but any building looks good. I have been to numerous resorts in the Bavaro region and this is the best. I WILL return for sure.

Good and clean site but no Beach.

We were at Sunscape in mid-november 2017. The staff was generally kind. There was a lot of tourists on the site and sometimes, staff seemed overload. We never had problem with the pool towels (plenty available). We didnt need to reserve the diner at the restaurants and we appreciate that. Our room was clean but our building (10) was very noisy. Our room was beat the staircase and with the echo, we had to much noise. I should have bring my earplugs. The pools was nice but the beach is our main deception. Not very large and the wave breakers ruin the view and the swimming. It’s possible to walk for a long time but you have to pass through a little store at the beginning of your walk so you can acces the nicest part of the beach of Bavaro. The food was good and diverse. We enjoy the multiple drinks and the specialized coffees at the Coco Café. We didn’t appreciate the presence of the itinerant sellers on the resort (friday and tuesday). They were very intrusive and it was unpleasant.

Just got back on Thursday after a week at the Sunscape Bravaro Beach- Sun Club. I have to say Thank you for upgrading us from the Garden View to the Ocean View I celebrated my Birthday at the resort I must say the resort is beautiful and very nice. We were close to the beach just steps. The Staff were wonderful very friendly and helpful. Main Lobby Bar waitress Deilerka was absolutely wonderful always made sure that we had drinks at all times and the table was clean. Just loved her The food and restaurants are good Check in was quick. Samuel (SamWell) told us about the resort and then we got sucked into this presentation that i signed for. We tried to get out of it in the morning but where pressured to go. What a waste of time we were suppose to get 100 each only got 100 I complained to SamWell about the housekeeping said to leave it with him that he was going to take care of it i asked if he could get us a cf to buy something at the resort he was going to leave it at my room slip it under the door nothing was left never seen him again. he wasn't any help NOTHING and he wasn't around. Do not sign for presentation for the 100 its a waste of time. Just pissed me off and wasted my time for this vip stuff 4hrs We were in the SunClubSection, nothing different other than you are closer to the beach and wifi throughout the resort. Found out that there should be bar service on the sunclub beach nothing there when we were there don't waste money for Sun Club nothing special brochure says Upgraded mini-bar refreshed daily no upgrade three exclusive bars only seen one the snack bar didn't get the newspaper to see what was going on each day at the resort. advertising all these extras didn't see it On the other note. The housekeeping is lousy. Fridge was stocked when we got there and never again until i complained. then the next day got twice as much and nothing after that. Had to always ask for water or club soda , towels i just helped myself when the cart was outside. One time i had to ask for toilet paper got 2 rolls. so i had an extra roll under my sink and it was gone the next day taken from my room and didn't get a roll cause i was leaving 2 days later like i was going to steal the toilet paper its rough on the butt Other than lousy housekeeping in keeping you stocked - And the NO HELP FROM SAMWELL he is the one that pissed me off the most. saying that i shouldn't have to be stocking myself and the service that we were suppose to have and didn't he didn't do anything and on the day i was leaving i was asking for him and he wasn't in so there you go he knew he wasn't going to do anything for us anyway just said what we wanted to hear.Other than this set back with house keeping and the sunclub which isn't worth the extra $ Watch out at the beach it is rocky in some spots and you can't see the bottom i stepped on rocks and hurt myself so be careful no one tells you that I had a fantastic time at the resort enjoyed the fantastic Staff around the resort and just enjoyed ourselves Sun and Fun

I just returned from Sunscape Bavaro, thought I'd share a summary of my trip. Location: 25 mins from the airport, $35 ride each way. It sits along the stretch of all-inclusive resorts, right on Playa Bavaro. Great location and direct beach access. Resort: Overall, a good resort. Has the amenities you need while on your vacation. Met some great people (couples, solo travellers, groups), made new friends from around the world. Food is average - nothing special. Chopsticks is a good restaurant. Free Wi-Fi only in the Theatre area - $40/device/week if you want access everywhere. Staff: Although some staff were just fantastic and would go out of their way to take care of you, some of them came across a little rude / didn't care. Something that I didn't expect. Shout out to King Kong (part of the entertainment staff) and Victor (beach side bar). The resort is lucky to have them. Additional stuff: The coupons they give you on arrival seem a lot better than they actually are. You have to spend quite a lot to be able to use them, and can't combine the individual ones to actually get value out of it. All in all, a good resort. If more staff members / service was on the better side, I would visit again. A few others that I met during my stay mentioned the same thing - issue with service, etc. so compare some other reviews before make your pic. I would rate it 3.5 overall, but that is not an option, and 3 would be low, hence the 4.
