Secrets remains a top destination
We stayed at Secrets for at least the 6th time. The quality of the resort, staff, food and drink remains high. The resort is adults only (25 years and over) all inclusive- it seems you get what you pay for when you travel to Cancun. We spoke to so many people that have stayed in other resorts and all rate Secrets as one of the best!
There are 4 beautiful pools to choose from, we did have to save our chairs at the pool every day- this seems common at most resorts. The drinks served at the pool come quickly ~ the staff delivers with a smile. There is beach and pool volley ball games everyday.
Pro-tip: Tip, every single person you encounter! If you can afford to go on vacation you can afford to tip! The people that staff these resorts work very hard to make your vacation wonderful and memorable....pay it forward! They work 6 days a week, treat you like you are the most important person at the resort. Be generous!
All of the restaurants are great. Our favorite is the steak house and italian - you can have drinks at the roof top bar while you wait for your table. The italian makes handmade pizzas to order~ delicious!
Breakfast is buffet style with made to order eggs and omelettes. Please know that the buffet is beautiful, small plate options, fresh juices, bloody mary bar, mimosas. Very high quality selections. They have every breakfast favorite covered.
We will be back! We want to say thank you to so many of the amazing staff that took care of us in our home away from home:
Butlers: Rodrigo and Luis
Breakfast: Alberto, Geiser and Cesar.
Pool: Roberto, Blanca, Norberto
Lounge: Jesus (we count on his service every trip!)
Waiters: Roger and Carlos
Apologies to any names we missed.
We will be back!
What a sleek, modern gem of a hotel in Cancun!
We booked through Apple. Although there was a bit of a wait at the airport to fill a bus for transportation (booked through Apple) to the resort, it was a 20 minute drive. We had the cheapest room in the preferred section, which was spacious, modern and beautiful. I can’t say much on the debate to go preferred or non. Honestly, you can’t go wrong either way. You are waited on a bit more attentively in the preferred pool, but service is NOT lacking in any section of this resort. Drinks were light, but flow freely. They tend to lack that cheap juice taste. The coffee bar was spectacular. The breakfast buffet was great, full of fresh fruit juices and literally anything you could want. The buffets cater to an international crowd, so as an American the food is not always what your used to...but in a good way. We loved Bluewater Grill. All the restaurants are pretty fancy and the menus are sophisticated. The entertainment was sophisticated as well, with an eclectic guitarist and a tenor concert that was fairly opera. The vine is wooing a sophisticated, mature, clientele, for sure. The hotel reminded me of one I stayed in South Beach. Many mentioned the pool being rough. Two of the four pools had a rough concrete that was intentional to the style, I believe. One pool is smoothly tiled. It’s really no big deal and adds to the beauty. The hotel is right out of Architectural Magazine, in my opinion. The food and drink are fantastic, best I’ve had at an all-inclusive and the service was that off a 5 star hotel. You cannot go wrong with a stay. The reviews are dead on. It’s a great place to stay
Nice all-inclusive adults only resort
Resort is very clean, great for all age groups. Pools are nice, love the jacuzzi and infinity pool. Barefoot grill is good for lunch, located at one of the pools. Beach and ocean is beautiful, clear water, soft Sandy Beach. Definitely select the preferred rooms, rooms are spacious, small TV for the size of the room. Staff are friendly and very accommodating, ask and you shall receive. We r staying in room 2611, my views are of the ocean and the lagoon. Pleased with my stay so far.
Most Beautiful Hotel Room
WOW, WOW, WOW......when we first walked into our suite we booked, it took my breath away. We booked a corner suite on the preferred level. the room was exactly like it was pictured in the photos. My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary there and it was a fabulous experience. I highly recommend!
Favorite Cancun All-Inclusive
This is our fourth business trip to Cancun and truly Secrets the Vine is our favorite All-Includive of all. From our first minutes checking in to our last day here everything was exceptional. The spa is the loveliest of any spa I’ve been to. Of particular note was my therapist Maria who gave me a fabulous 80 minute massage.
My husband suffers from Ménière’s Disease and has a salt restriction. The restaurants could not be more accommodating and realized that it just wasn’t a whim but a serious medical condition. Of particular note was the staff at Nebbiolo, the Italian restaurant that even baked my husband fresh salt free rolls. Boris is the manager there and he was certain to notify all his staff of my husband’s risks with salt. We ate there three nights and each dinner was extraordinary.
Truthfully I have been to many All-inclusives throughout Mexico and the Caribbean and have no expectations of the food. Secrets the Vine was certainly the exception. The food was amazing.
The beach and sea were beautiful but always the same “chair issue” wherever we go.
The gym was clean and faced the ocean so every morning we worked out watching the sun rise.
Our room was large, comfortable and had beautiful views over the ocean and the bay.
It was a perfect stay and we are extremely grateful to everyone who made our time here so enjoyable.
