Another reason we always come home to Cayena Beach Resort

Yesterday my son-in-law left his bag in a cab after being dropped off at PUJ. My first call from him came at 12:17PM and I went directly to Barbara and informed her of our issue. Barbara contacted T-Caribe and Frances the driver had the bag back at airport at 12:30PM returned to my son-in-law. This is why we always choose Cayena Beach Club the excellent service and care we receive.

Great place to stay

It was amazing to stay two weeks in this hotel we were very surprised by the clean beach with a very nice white sand and a great ocean that was very warm. Food was great swimming pool was small but very nice to swim and the bar was excellent with the stuff which was helping us to get a little bit drunk. Five stars and definitely.

Beautiful Beaches!

My boyfriend and I just got back from a week long trip. The beach was beautiful, the property was very well maintained. The beach was clean, plenty of lounge chairs, day beds and hammocks, and you could sit where the people walking/selling things on the beach couldn't bother you. The beauty of the Cayena beach side is it is private from the rest of the hotel and quiet. it was really peaceful. The larger pool during the day was more lively, music playing, water aerobics. My complaint was that the liquor was cheap and the food was mediocre. Some plates were great and most were not! They only have 3 resorts and they aren't all open every night. The two young women in the concierge were extremely helpful for booking out excursions. Thank you Nikki!

Ideal if you want quiet, with a gorgeous beach

I just spent a week at this boutique resort - Feb 10-17 2019. The Cayena is the smaller, quieter section of the VIK Arena Blanca. I loved everything about this place except the food, which was a bit disappointing. There are only 74 rooms in the Cayena, and the whole resort is small than the Iberostars, Barcelos, etc. If you want the loud pool music, lots of activities, etc, stay at the Arena Blanca section of this hotel. Cayena visitors have access to all Arena Blanca facilities, but the reverse is not true. I loved the rooms, which were recently renovated, and lovely, and they were kept very clean. Staff is lovely, especially Carlos on the beach. For me, the most important thing on the holiday is a quiet place on the beach with some shade, and a beautiful beach to go for walks. The Cayena has this in spades. The Cayena has its own beach area with more comfortable chairs, and there was never a chair shortage. In fact, I was dumbfounded at how few people were in the Cayena in January; I guess more people want the action of the Arena Blanca, which was hopping. The restaurants never felt crowded, which was great. The only drawback of this resort was the odd lack of salad and vegetarian options; this was more noticeable than at any other resort I've been to (at least dozen in Mexico and the DR). Their lamb, pork, and chicken were very good, and I had a heavenly bread pudding and fruit compote dessert. I think the drinks are watered down, and my wine drinking friend said the red was not great. This is not wildly important to me, but don't come here is you are vegetarian or vegan. The beach is stunning, and well maintained (refreshing, after being on a few seaweed-laden beaches in the Riviera Maya. Seaweed is natural, but 2-3 feet high at the water's edge? not so much.) The staff are lovely. Another bonus to the Cayena is that you are not bothered by any salespeople on the beach (re time shares or merchandise) - they do not approach or call out to you. The design of the buildings is odd - no elevator, and it must be very inconvenient for cleaning staff as there are only stairs up to 2nd and 3rd floors. Rooms had ocean views - really lovely. Despite issues with the food and some of the drinks, I wouldn't hesitate to go back because of the size and serenity of this resort.

My family has been members at Cayena Beach club for 14 years and our 2 week trip this year didn’t disappoint. The staff is like family and treats everyone like so. The rooms are cozy and all have amazing views. The beach and pool area have all recently been re done and feature comfy chairs, hammocks, beds and stunning ocean views. The food is always fresh and plentiful, the chefs have always been very accommodating of my dietary needs and make my dad a birthday cake every year. I would HIGHLY recommend Cayena beach club to any couple, family, or group who are looking for a safe, family oriented, and quiet resort that offers the best beach the Dominican Republic has to offer.
