I would recommend this hotel to anyone! If you want an experience where you don't have to lift a finger and want to have a worry free vacation, then this is the hotel/resort for you. The staff is beyond amazing. Everyone greets you with a smile and hello, the food is phenomenal and unlimited drinks wherever you are on the resort, and the staff will help you with any questions or concerns you have. I can't say enough good things about this resort, and it is absolutely beautiful. Every day we continued to be blown away by the beauty of the resort. Also, our butler Luis was great. He made our stay fabulous and made us feel completely welcome and comfortable even though we'd never been out of the country before. We definitely plan on coming back as soon as we can. Loved this resort!

Just spent 7 days at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro. We have stayed at many all inclusives in Mexico, Jamaica, Bahamas, Republica Dominica. We stayed at this resort 4 years ago and I rated the resort very high. Since that time, the quality of the resort has declined. Pros: 1. General quality of the employees remains high. Willing to help, but sometimes difficult to get folks to understand English. 2. The grounds are well maintained. 3. The beach is wonderful. Crystal blue water and seaweed is cleaned daily. Cons: 1. The quality of the food has significantly declined. Food is very salty and either under or over cooked. The theme restaurants are worse than the buffet. Gourmet Restaurant - wife had filet and said it was great. I had the lamb and it was not edible. Japanese Restaurant - don't expect any show, most food cooked at grill behind the tables. Italian Restaurant - we both had what they call lasagna, just ground beef covered with loads of cheddar cheese, no noodles or ricotta, was very greasy. Surf and Turf - had lobster and ribeye and were OK, but a little tuff. I do understand we all have different tastes, but this is compared to other all inclusive resorts and to this resort just 4 years ago. 2. Pool was really in bad shape. Tiles missing, adhesive in gaps, odd tiles added to some missing spots. 3. Friends team must have been under a lot of pressure to many times daily to ask if anything was wrong. I tried to respond honestly one day, but then get into a long discussion of the issue, not what I wanted to be doing on my vacation. 4. Wife and myself both got sick about the 3rd day. Did not leave the resort or drink the water, even though they say it is ok. Not sure what we ate to cause our illness, but had to be from the resort. 5. Rooms are in need of updating. Really telling their age. Items broken. Maids however did a great job of cleaning and towel art. 6. Had some personal juice we brought from home stolen from the fridge. We were extremely disappointed to return to a resort that we had previously highly rated. Sad to say, but we will not be returning to the resort. We love the Iberostar Grand Collection, but this resort does not live up to those standards.

The hotel well exceeded my expectations. From the check in to the day we left the hotel staff could not have been nicer and more attentive. We had some food allergy issues and our chef Altagracia made sure she was at every meal to attend to us and make sure we had food that we could eat. Our butlers Rafael and Jose were amazing in helping us with dinner reservations and to make sure we had everything we needed. The beach and pool area were both very lovely and the pool and beach servie were also amazing. Overall it was a great vacation and would do it again without in a minute!!

The hotel was very clean. Pool was very nice. Beach area very nice. Plenty of beach chairs, despite the fact people came early to save seats and did not use them. My biggest complaint about the hotel was flies all over the food, even the indoor restaurants. Nothing you can do about the flies in the outdoor restaurant by the pool, but the indoor restaurants should have some kind of bug zappers by the door. I had 2 flies die in my cup of hot tea one morning. Looked like a mass suicide attempt. I kept my plate covered with a napkin to prevent flies from landing on the plate. The restaurant reservation system could be improved. People make reservations, then do not keep them, which leaves others locked out and empty tables. The food was very good, and lots of variety, but not true 5 star (in my opinion), but if you go hungry, it is definitely YOUR OWN fault.

Isbac, Yeffery, and Arial were exceptional . Really stood out as very helpful/ talented personnel . Hotel was extremely well maintained . Food was excellent. More seaweed visable than ever experienced before on the beach though.

This is our sixth consecutive year visit to the Iberostar grand. Overall the service, facilities, campus, food, beach, were wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves and would return to the resort. We did note some small differences from the past five years however. I would not return to the Casa de la Playa restaurant because I had my first bad (unbeatable) meal this year and we had less than good meals in the past at this restaurant. The turn down maid service missed us twice durin the seven days. The drinks at the swim up bar at the pool were sub standard. There was an incident where a maid came in the room while we were present and a few dollars that were on the table could not be found after she left. These issues were not experienced in the past. They were minor annoyances and did not mar our overall enjoyment of the vacation. The meeting with the Apple rep at the airport was not clearly explained and took time to unravel. It should be made clear that we needed to check in with the Apple desk in the terminal before trying to find a rep in the parking lot to direct us to the proper taxi.

This was our 8th consecutive year at the hotel. Everything about the hotel is stellar. The food is terrific both at the specialty restaurants and the buffet. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good beach, golf course, spa, exercise room and clay tennis courts. Beautiful gardens. Lovely rooms. We'll be going back again!

This hotel/resort was out of this world! The room was beautiful and every amenity was thought of in advance. The service was top notch. The food was impeccable!!! The beach was breathtaking! This was the best money we have ever spent. My boyfriend (now Fiance after the trip!) went for 6 days and we would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing luxurious holiday.

Reservation at restaurants are ridiculous! We were not informed that reservations could be made prior to our arrival. Reservations for 9:00 the first 3 nights, diners last 1:45 minutes so the 10 show was not an option. The food was very good, however it was overshadowed by the late seating and slow delivery of food. The beach service for drinks was non-existent with the exception of Wednesday. Bar service at the pool was poor, almost like they were doing you a favor for pouring a drink. Out of the Brugal Anejo for 2 days, how does that happen. The grounds were well kept, the beach stunning and the locals friendly. The butler showed us our room and that was about it for the week. Checking in with the Apple rep is a joke, went up 3 days to check in to tell them they were leaving the country, I would think this would be a given. Finally caught up with him the day before we were leaving and his comment "look in the book"....we have booked, I believe 9 apple trips and each rep is the same, want to sell excursions.....if I wanted an excursion I would ask!

Five stars on everything. We had high expectations coming in, and glad to say that our stay exceeded our expectation. We had a great time, location (good beach close to airport), food (many great choices), and the service all were excellent.

Magnificent hotel in all aspects, from the beauty and elegance of its architecture to the excellent service and friendliness of all employees. Be sure to spend time walking around the many areas of the front lobby to enjoy the excellent design and decoration of the various areas. It is truly a great hotel. The restaurants and the quality of the food is something else. The buffet, which in pin other all inclusive resorts was the necessary evil, was here an amazing place to eat. Yo have from the "American" favorites (pizza, pasta, hamburgers) to very sophisticated stuff, in line with fancy tapas beautifully created and presented. You can create a remarkable lunch and dinner just based on them. The quality of the ingredients is very high. (You can see the chefs at the main restaurant, keeping and eye in the area. I got the name of two of them- Mr Arroyo and Mr. Torres- but there were at least three more always looking around). The green salads are of outstanding quality (locally grown) and there is a large selection of cheese and 'cold cuts' from Spain, including serrano ham sliced by hand right there, (As an anecdote, I did not gain any weight -actually lost a little bit- and I eat plenty...of very healthy and super-testy food. Of course, if you want you can also indulge in fattening food, do not take me wrong!) The main restaurant reflects the great service that this hotel offers in all other areas. You feel pampered every second. Add to all this the beauty of the resort and that every area is truly clean and well kept and you get a great experience. No doubts we will come back.I felt that the money I paid was worth every penny.

I really like this hotel the service is excellent. Me and my sister arrived on her birthday. I emailed them to make my sister birthday a memorable one. Even only a short noticed they surprised my sister with cake and champagne. I'm very grateful for all the staff in this hotel. The food was so good. I highly recommend this hotel to anybody want to go to punta cana. Anything you need the butcher always there to make sure your stay a very relaxing and very memorable one. And In case you don't like your food in the restaurant you pick. You can order to other restaurant and they will bring it to you. Altagracia the chef very accommodating. All in all everybody very nice in this hotel.

We just got back the other day. This place was absolutely awesome! From the food the drinks, the entertainment. Our butlers went above and beyond, Alejandro, Luis,and Reynaldo. They made our room look awesome for my girlfriend's birthday!!

These people know how to treat their guest!

Greeted at check in desk with cool towel and chilled cocktail. This was the beginning of the custom service that continued every minute of every day of my stay. The room was large with a furnished balcony and nicely stocked mini-bar. The linens and toiletries were top notch. Every single staff member made you feel as though you were the only guest they were assigned to take care of. It was our joke to always accept water because someone will offer until you have water on your table lol. Our butler, "sexy Romeo" outdid himself to arrange the room for a birthday celebration. The staff will do everything they can to give you a great experience. Plenty of good food to satisfy every appetite. This was my first all-inclusive resort and I expected machines dispensing 24 hour high quality vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream so that was my only disappointment if I had to say something I would have liked that wasn't available. I came home and immediately started trying to get someone to go with me to the Iberostar resort in Jamaica next month, as I heard great things about that one from several guest in DR. I was completely satisfied!
