I've been to the Sirenis 7 times in a row. I love the place. Nothing super fancy, but comfy. In August the whole resort is closing down for a complete remodel. Can't wait to see what they do.

Sirenis is not the glitziest hotel in Punta Cana and is located a bit far from the airport (about 40 minutes drive), but the staff more than makes up for it! Everyone, from desk clerks and concierge to entertainers and managers were extremely friendly and helpful. Our family (2 adults and 3 kids, ages 13, 11, and <1) had great time at Sirenis. There is a pretty nice water park on premises, which the kids enjoyed.

This waa a most dissapointing resort compared to the last resorr ww stayed at tgecExcellence. The food was poor at best, swimming pool closed at 600pm each day and the room was the worat we have staywd at all our times in Canxun and Punta Cana. Most people at the resrt felt as we did. aAlso we were limitto onlyvtwo reservations at the better restaurants. It Wevwerecalso tricked into seeingva vacation club opportunity, we were told if we ate breakfast with a rep we would get 80dollars credit and another reservation at an upscale restaurant. We got neither. This may have been a nice place 15-20years ago but now it needs a complete make over. We strongly strongly recommend savingvyour money and staying at Excellence if you don't have kids and the Nickelodeon or Hard Rock if you do. This was overall an awful place not up to what wecarecused too when staying in the Carribean. Finally thecemployees were nice by and large but they had little to work with.

Reviews are worthless. I read 100s and still believed I would have a great vacation. 1 week of hell. Bloody diarrhea, paramedics, sick in bed for 4 days, closed water park, entertainment staff called out Americans during a show and the crowd got nasty, don't touch water or fruit, no refrigeration used in DR. Remember, the country is neighbor to Haiti. Enjoy your stay

First and foremost ...The Outstanding staff!! Karla and Lenny made us feel like we were at home, and made sure we had everything to make our stay enjoyable. When we brought the party inside, we could always count on Pasqual and Evelyn to keep a smile on our face and cold drink in our hand. and we can't forget our newly adopted son, Rolando. He made sure we always had the best seats in the house for the wonderful shows. We can't wait for our next trip to the Dominican Republic!!!!

I would encourage all people who travel their hard working money to NOT go to this resort. The food was terrible. The cleanliness of the pool was terrible. The resot actually had no running water for a day and a half. They make customers feel stupid when questions arise. If I knew how to get a porion of my money back, I would do so. There literally is ONE bar open in the lobby in the evening. ONE! There also are two others if you have a "restaurant" visit scheduled but no place to sit if you do not. The staff actually refused me a conversation with the manager. READ THE REVIEWS ON TRIP ADVISOR. The speak the truth. Take your own playing cards. That is all there is to do in the evenings. Every table and chair was filled with people playing cards because they were bored out of their minds. JUST AWFUL. Sadly, i booked through APPLE before with BARCELO RIVIERA MAYA and expected the same AMAZING experience. Go to Barcelo....stay away from this skanky joint.

Beautiful outdoor space BUT horrible rooms!

We had two switch rooms because our first room was completely disgusting. The toilet didn't work at all. The room was very old and everything was gross. After complaining enough they moved us to a new room. It was one of their updated rooms but it wasn't updated. The shower had mold in it, and again the toilet or the sink didn't work. The whole resort speaks Spanish and very few people here speak English. I found it so hard to talk to people there or tell them my concerns. We knew they couldn't understand us anyways. We went on an excursion and it was awful! The first shuttle picks us up and drops everyone on the bus in the middle of a town. Of course they don't speak English so we have no clue what's going on. We were stuck there for 45 minutes before another bus picks us up. Then we get to where we are supposed to get our boat and our tour guide or doesn't speak English is arguing with the guy at the dock. It was very scary for us and our kids. Once we got on the boat the rest of the excursion was great until the ride home. We get on a bus to go back to our hotel and the driver picks up random hotel workers and drops them off places for money. All while my family including kids are on the bus. It was very inappropriate. We were over an hour and a half late because of this so we missed our reservation for dinner. Honestly the trip in a whole was horrible. I will never got back there again. I need to make sure I do a better job at researching the place we are staying because I wouldn't recommend that resort or any excursions to anyone.

We recently stayed at Sirenis Resort. Our room needed updating.. The bathroom on the third floor leaked into our bathroom requiring two separate visits from imaintenance. The maid service was great the first day, however they neglected to provide washcloths daily. The coffee station was not restocked with milk substitute. Used glassware was never replaced. The pool was dirty and a light fixture was hanging loose in the pool. The pool was too small for the crowd.There was no adult pool and children hung around the swim up bar. The lounge chairs should have been hosed off daily, due to the bird excrement on them. The beach towels were too small to cover the dirty lounge chairs! The aquacenter was closed two days during our stay.The nightly shows are enjoyable. The buffet staff worked hard to meet our needs. We were only permitted to make reservation at 2 restaurants which was not as advertised We were asked several times to take a tour of the grounds to sell us a membership. We were not interested.We would not go back to this resort! We are very disappointed!

This resort was the worst I have ever been to. The staff was not accommodating when we presented the MANY issues we encountered during our stay, the manager proceeded to get defensive and argumentative with me. She acted as if we should have expected to lose power, have no water/toilet functionality and the overwhelming smell of smoke in our non-smoking room. Our room was dirty and consistently smelled of smoke and sweaty socks, much of the smell came from our sheets on our bed. We went to speak with the Apple Vacations representative the day after our arrival to see what our options were. He claimed he would look at other resorts and that he would come in the next afternoon instead of researching them the same day to discuss things further, but we were told to give the resort another day. We both decided that we would much rather spend the remainder of our Honeymoon at home and cut our losses than be stuck there another night so the following morning we flew home 3 nights early. We were treated poorly by the staff and were not offered any sort of refund for our stay. This was the first and last time we will ever be using Apple Vacations.

This was my first time in Punta Cana! Spectacular beach which goes on forever! The staff at this resort work hard for their money. They each have a special knack for making their guests feel extra special. The buffet in the main lobby was very impressive each and every time. Lots of selection, fresh fruit and veggies. I would have preferred the shows to start a bit earlier in the evening. The music and noise from the beach party kept on til at least 11:30! All in all, I would definitely return. I particularly loved the atmosphere in the lobby, a nice spot to relax after dinner!

this was our first Family Holiday in Dominican Republic at Sirenis Hotel. have to say best experience we have ever had! Hotel Area, Pools, Water Park, Rooms everything nice and clean, Staff in Sirenis looking after you from day one until the very last minute before you going back... People smiling and are happy to help with anything. we loved the quiet night time as our little one was only 4 years old and he went to bed between 9pm - 10pm there was no drunk people or any other noise that could wake him up... thank you Sirenis for beautiful 11 nights!!! keep up the great work!!! Dirty rooms that required renovations

Property was beautiful. Rooms on old side disgusting (where we were staying with grandchildren) Complaints got us nowhere-especially after we refused to spend 2 hours at a time share meeting selling the new side of the resort. Daughter and her children spent 4 nights without a lock on her door.

This is our 3rd time visiting Sirenis Punta Cana in the last 12 months. Needless to say, our family loves it here. The employees are the best and are what keep us coming back. The hotel is undergoing major renovations as it was dated. This time, April 5 to 12, 2018 we stayed in the renovated rooms on the Tropical side of the resort. The rooms were incredible. My husband and I stayed in a king size mirage room, and the kids (aged 24 and 13) stayed in the room right beside us with 2 double beds mirage room. Each room had a seperate living room space which could also sleep a couple more people. Rooms included a small stocked fridge with beer, pop and water. Each room had a very large tv in the living room and a large tv in the bedroom. Safes were included in each room, and WIFI was included for 2 devices in each room, for the entire resort. WIFI was spotty at times. The bed was SUPER! I slept so well this visit. We were on the 1st floor of building 39, rooms 3906 & 3907. The patio had a small table and 2 chairs. I prefer being on the 2nd floor as we were in October, just for more privacy and a better view, however being on the 1st floor was convenient for getting luggage in and out, etc. The washroom as plenty big and the shower had a removable shower head and also a waterfall head. Bring face cloths as they do not supply them. We were given 2 large beach towels in our room, which we could use at beach and pool, and then at the end of the day trade them in for 2 clean towels. The bath towels were large and fluffy white towels. There is shower gel and shampoo in a dispenser in the shower, but we bring our own anyways. We bring small gifts for our favourite employees and leave a tip for our maid each morning. We tip the waiters in the buffet each time, and tip the bartenders in the lobby bar, disco and don't forget the POOL bartender. We chose not to eat in any a la cartes this time, as we actually love the buffet and the nightly themed fare. When we return in 2019 we may try a few of the a la cartes as they will all be renovated and open. We also chose not to use a concierge the last 2 times as we were not reserving a restaurant and didn't want to be bothered regarding the VIP program. They were friendly, offered their assistance, we told them NO thank you and were not bothered at all. The vendors come twice a week, and they are bothersome, but again we walked around them, told them NO and they were polite. My husband and son did stop and buy a few souvenirs and felt they got a good deal. The employees I would like to recognize for EXCELLENT customer service are: Polaco, Lissander and Pasqual in the lobby bar....our favourite place to be in the evening and those 3 men we now consider family. The BEST in the Caribbean and the whole reason our family keeps returning. Luis (I call him Hercules lol) and Ruby in the lobby bar were so friendly also. Jimmy, Alberto Mejia and Salserin gave us great cappucinos each morning!!! Thank YOU both for that....after late nights the coffee was craved in the morning. The omelette maker was awesome, and I didn't catch his name.....but he deserves a shout out. The pasta man, Victor, remembered my order each evening and made me feel special. Monchy, Cherry and Leonardo, our POOL bartenders made it fun each day in the pool and kept us hydrated. Ana and Anano in the buffet looked for us each morning and evening so they could serve us. Incredible service from them both, thank you. Cesar and Marina at check in made it effortless. Marina is a rock star when it comes to WIFI! Our maid was Magdalena and she kept our rooms spotless and we never wanted for anything. A few of the managers we met throughout the hotel were very professional and we enjoyed seeing them again, Daniel, Joshua, Tomas and supervisor Marcia made sure we were treated well. Please treat these staff with respect as they work very hard and long stretches at a time, being away from their own families.....they certainly treated us like we were family. We met many other staff during our vacation, unfortunately I didn't get all their names. We do hope they all will be back when we return in April 2019. The hotel is closing from August to December to complete their major renovations of the lobby, pools, gym and restaurants. A big shout out to Ksenia, a manager I emailed quite a few times before we arrived, just to make sure our kids were in a room beside us and to tell her it was my husband and I, 15th wedding anniversary. I don't think we received anything special in our room, as my kids also had the rum and fruit in their room, but we appreciated Ksenias emails.

The staff are amazing at this beautiful resort!

The staff go beyond at this resort. Particularly, "Alvin the Chipmunk", who engaged the guests in activities on a daily basis, along with the rest of the staff who conduct the many activities, were great. Truly a wonderful group of people.
