Apple Vacations Traveller Reviews
The service is excellent.
Golden Parnassus worth a visit
I was recommended the Golden Parnasus adult only resort by a friend. She expressed how friendly and excellent the staff at the resort was. After my visit to the resort I 100% agree with her. The staff was awesome!! They were so nice and went out of their way to ensure that my wife and I had a fabulous time. The resort is not a 5 diamond resort, but is a resort with 5 diamond staff. I would highly recommend a visit to this resort. You will see for your self why so many people continue to come back to it. I for one will be one of those returning to the Golden Parnassus. I have nothing but excellent things to say about my trip their.
The hotel needs a lot of TLC. The employees were excellent and were right there when you needed something. the food was good but needed more options on food choices.
First Time Stay
I thought the property was very nice. It was my first time staying here with my family. The food was excellent and the staff was very accommodating. However, at check-in, the resort need to be more accommodating with guest (i.e., provide a temp room to bathe and change into comfortable clothing) instead of having them sit in the lobby 2+ hours waiting for their room assignment. In addition, with the pool being down for repair, there should have been music and more activities on the beach for the guest.
Golden Parnassus Cancun
Overall my hotel stay at the golden Parnassus was okay. The only issue was I wished Apple Vacations would have specified that golden Parnassus was not air conditioned throughout the hotel. It was extremely hot in the lobby area and in Paradise which was the International Buffet. The fact that check in was at 3 p.m. and I arrived around 12 p.m. was brutal because I had to suffer in that extremely hot lobby for 3 hours. So Apple Vacations definitely should have testified in the description of the hotel that it was not centralized air conditioning. My favorite waiter is was Julian who worked in Paradise, Jesus who was the bartender at the beer gardens and Daniel who was a waiter at shangria.overall it was a good time.
Good but not Great
Hotel needs a renovation in a bad way, pool cut my feet, paint is peeling and tiles are broken everywhere. The the staff was amazing as well as the food.
The staff was there for us in our time of need..
I read the reviews for this hotel before booking our trip. I am grateful I didn't give much value to the negative comments or reviews. The restaurants were good, never waited for a table. The tiki bar with Jesus every evening was a great time. I enjoyed the excerise classes in the pool.
However, our 4th day into our vacation my husband has a heart attack. The medical staff was there immediately. Ambulance arrived shortly after my call for help. The concierge was amazing, sitting with me at the hospital to make sure I didn't need anything.
My review would have been great before our emergency but I will not stay anywhere else in Cancun.
We had a great time at this hotel. Our goal was to reset and relax. All the staff was friendly and helpful, answered questions. Beach bars are great! Pool was clean and well maintained. Hotel is a little older but we had no issues with our room and the hotel is clean and well maintained.
Would we go back NO and a lot of people that we had talked to said the same thing. A group that had been there numerous times weren't happy with the service and said they would probably look for another resort. the buffet was terrible, the pier 12 was good but the service was very slow. The barn was ok my steak was tough and very small, my husbands was ok. The chairs by the pool and umbrellas were old and needed replacing not enough umbrellas. One older gentleman worked his tail off sweeping the pool area, very nice gentleman but spoke little English if any. Our room was not comfortable very cold and not what we expected for a golden room. I can't believe we were to be charged $10.00 for an extra bottle of water, after I complained they told us to come down to the desk and they would give us and EXTRA bottle if we needed it(all inclusive?)
The language barrier was an issue. Red flags at the beach the entire time was very disappointing and the lack of hot water for 24 hours inconvenient. I ordered a screwdriver drink and got a Mamosa after I tipped the bar tender. Bar tender could not tell the difference between a Long Island Iced Tea and a Long Beach drink. Language barrier was huge. Asked for hot water for tea and got a 'deer in the head lights look'.
Hotel itself is dated but the staff makes up for any of those issues. We had a couple issues with cuts from pool tiles, All in all it was a very nice visit. We loved the smaller resort feel. We loved the food at Pier 12 but the portion sizes are very small and should be reconsidered. The Ole Barn...was our favorite.

Glad to come back for second time. I also want to say the three ladies and Martin the beach entertainers were very fun and friendly. Tell them thanks from me “Jones from Indiana”!! We will be back in the future.
Everytime has been a goodtime!
The resort seems much more organized than previous trips. The quality of food has also improved. I wish there were more pool games. The rooms are really outdated and outlets are worn out. The shampoo/lotion are really poor quality. I think if I was management, I would include "free" wi-fi throughout the hotel, and just include it in the room charge. Thanks!
A very enjoyable experience
We stayed at the Golden Parnassus for 6 nights. Overall, me and my wife had a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend.
The Pros - Smaller resort and Adults Only. Since its just adults, less people are in the resort and it appears to show with the staff's attentiveness and service. Room Service is available at no charge 24/7, with good quality food options.
The Cons - GYM! Needs a huge upgrade and i can't stress it enough.Although it doesn't seem like many guest use the gym its probably due to the bad maintenance of the equipment.
Great place and awesome staff
Carlos, mosses, and Sebastian are the best bartenders there. Elias at the old barn was very accommodating and he did it with a smile. I cant say enough good things about the staff i will deffinatly be back for as soon as possible to see my second family
Good untill check-out
They charged us $200 USD at checkout for having two friends stop in from 5:30-7:30 pm. We do not recall them telling us that there was a $100 per person day pass. They insisted that they did but no recalling that conversation. Our friends had no drink or food just visited. They would not budge on it so we paid. We'll stay elsewhere next trip.
