THis resort was absolutely magnificent. It is both elegant and casual. During the day, the resort is casual but at night, you can dress up and go to the restaurants on site. The staff is great. I don't know how they do it, but they remember your name and you feel like you form friendships there. We went to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. The concierge arranged a bottle of champagne at dinner. Of coure there in Jamaica, 18 is the legal drinking age. The bar on the lobby level is very nice and outdoors. The food at the resort is so good. Don't forget to go to Mangoes for the beef patties!!!! This resort is great for adults and for families. Amenities are available for the children with a great water slide and lazy river as well as for adults. This is a wonderful place to stay. My family enjoyed it as much as my son and I did!!!

The overall quality of our resort was fair to good. Our room was very musty, while our children's room was fine. Although our room was clean, we had to ask for extra towels a lot. Although we understand that we could not be guaranteed adjoining rooms with our children, one would think that rooms close together would have been arranged. I had to argue for this. Hotel staff were generally pleasant, but did not go out of their way to be particularly gracious or smiley. Service in the Fresh restaurant was subpar. There were not nearly enough umbrellas at the pool.

The Hilton Rose Hall was a great family hotel. We loved the pool and lazy river and slides. The beach was small but nicely kept and they had lots of activities, sea kayaks, hobie cats (they"ll take you out if you don't know how to sail, and windsurfing. My 14 and 11 year old boys loved it. My husband and father played golf and were very happy and we all enjoyed the snorkeling. The drinks were yummy but bit weak, which was fine by me. The food was good but not exceptional. We enjoyed the bbq nights and lunch at the sea side the Jamaican pork was really good and the chicken curry sub was good too. We all loved the omlettes in the morning but the rest of breakfast was only so so. The beds were very comfortable but the room had some dated aspects like popcorn walls and ceilings. However the furniture was tasteful and the bathrooms were updated though small. The staff was 90% very friendly and accommodating. I love that from Indy you could get there on a non stop. The ease of travel made it a perfect choice for us. While not perfect, I would still highly recommend for families. We had a fabulous vacation!

The trip was fantastic. Apple took care of us when we got to Jamaica and got us to the hotel. The Hotel was kept impeccably clean and serviced by a very happy 'no problem' attitude staff. I would (and already have..) recommended this trip to others.

Apple vacations left me at hotel at check out. Waited in long line to check out which caused me to be 4 minutes late for my ride. They left. Forced to take a $60 cab ride. Ants all over hotel room. Disgusting! Food is horrible. Hotel filled with huge organization (smart circle). These people were loud and obnoxious. Lack of assistance from hotel staff. Terrible.

This hotel is older and if you look you can see it's showing it's age. The linens and beds were wonderful, the food was awesome, but the public restrooms were in various stages of disrepair, the A/C works "most" of the time, and the staff was friendly provided the tips kept coming.

The hotel was very nice and the Lazy River was fun especiallty for kids and the beach was nice and you could lay under palm trees on your chase lounge and watch the surf hit the beach very relaxing---The water was not clear in front of the hotel a lot of sea weed and rocky bring water shoes if you go and the bottom of the lazy river was rough too ---Overall the hotel is very nice and would recommend it to everyone--The Buffet was just ok but if you made reservations in the dining room for the other restuarants the food was excellent but make your reservations upon your arrival for all the other restuarants--its was a long walk between the plane --customs and our transportation--and quite confusing who was taking us to the hotel--but we arrived fine and leaving our transportation was much better---but still a long walk to our gate---The apple representatives would answer your questions at 9am in the morning but after that time good luck finding anybody even at the hotel lobby --I have to admit I went for a family wedding and we all enjoyed it very much --there was 60 people in our group and all in all we had a wonderful time.

Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Only one beer selection, red stripe. Nice variety at buffet. My internet was down while I was there and was not fixed during my stay. There was also some construction down on beach which made laying out on beach not real desireable. Overall, a decent all inclusive but it must be priced right!

The staff was what made my stay worth staying. Pleasant people and helpful. The rooms and amenities made me want to leave. Nothing to do when it rains. Upgraded to a suite and found ants multiple times. The managers didn’t seem to care.

The Hilton's was great I went there with family and friends the food was good and the beach was good, the water slides were great and the lazy river too, the staff was great also. The pizza and the frozen juice was good

Family of 4 (12/16yr old kids) visited 12/22-12/28 as both a Christmas present and daughter’s sweet 16. Booked in July 2017. We travel an average of 3x/yr internationally and use reviews as part of our process of choosing a new location so I will share our experience that makes me rate this Hilton a 3*. First and foremost, the social media FB contact was very responsive to messages and giving information on who to reach at the resort. 5* to her (Chrisann i believe). I had called before arrival to reserve cabanas for the week and to also set up restaurant reservations. We were able to book the cabanas but were informed reservations were not available until we checked in. I highly recommend booking the waterpark cabanas if you need shade. We initially booked half a week waterpark and other beach. The beach cabanas have no shade. They are open pergola structures and it is very windy. We cancelled those and took the waterpark cabanas for the week. The beach does offer amazing thatched palapas which are free and mostly unused when we were there so we did get to enjoy using those for beach time. The beach adjacent to the waterpark is stacked like sardines so keep walking past the pizza place to the gorgeous beach area. This is also where the jerk chicken (Mark) and juice bar (Shanta) are located. Both are must stops. Back to check in. We arrived at 4pm and gave our name. We were immediately ask to step aside and told the manager needs to speak with us. The 2 bedroom suite with living room and kitchen we reserved and paid for in advance was oversold and they could only put us in a regular room with 2 queens. I asked why we were not contacted in advance to let us know this we were just told the resort was oversold. My husband is also a Hilton honors member traveling frequently for business so they certainly had our contact information. As we are dealing with this disappointing situation, my husband makes note he is not feeling well suddenly and needs to lie down. He and the kids go to our room on the 7th floor as I make restaurant reservations which if you remember back to the beginning of this review I was told they could only be done on arrival. Of course, Seaside Grill which was our main restaurant choice was not available for our entire stay. The disappointments kept coming. Husband ended up being down with Influenza for the entire trip. We weren’t able to have our room cleaned as he couldn’t leave it. Room service is at a cost not free like every other AI we have visited. To make matters worse the buffet has “No Take Out Food” signs everywhere. Ironic that I spent 9k to smuggle a banana and toast out of the buffet. Dennis the manager at the buffet was a huge blessing. I told him of my husband’s issue and he had room service deliver 12 waters to our room as I was having difficulty getting bottled water anywhere. The manager was able to get the connecting room for my children the next night. Thankful to get them away so they didn’t get exposed any more. However definitely not the suite set up we paid for. Housekeeping was great about leaving towels for us and toiletries as requested. These are Peter Thomas Roth products which are good quality. They don’t provide the orange body scrub that is standard at other Hiltons. The service staff were all very polite. They really helped bring up their score and hopefully they are being tipped well (we did). The shows are very small with only about 20 chairs set up. Not a normal AI experience. The teen club is small and dark and no one was ever there. I tried to book our included tours but was never able to make contact with the representative. Concierge just kept saying try back later. Plan on one hour max if you take the shuttle to the shops. Feel free to read my other reviews on TA. You will see I score high on most resorts. This is not a resort we would return to. We have been to Jamaica 3x and will return again for the great weather and people.

Good hotel but poor variety on buffet

I have just come back from a weeks holiday in Montego Bay. It was my first time in Montego Bay. My first impressions on the hotel upon arrival were good. The reception staff were polite and efficient with the check in. There was a great view of the sea. The room we had was well presented and clean. Good partial view of the sea. Opened the balcony door to confront disappointment as we had some huge bloody generator burring away. To be fair we were out of the room for most of the day so it did not bother us and of a night the door was shut so we never heard anything. The staff were pretty hit and miss in that some came across as very blunt whilst others were at the other end of the scale and were bubbly. However the blunt ones were very easily converted with the colour green in American dollars!!!! The other slightly irritating thing was that there must be a Hilton policy whereby staff can't take cigarettes from guests. This was clear as a number of staff...mainly from the pool area were constantly poncing cigarettes but insisted that it was done in a sly under hand way just in case other staff saw! The biggest let down for the hotel was the buffet. The choice was VERY poor. There were no more than a few dishes to choose from. I expected a lot more for the price we paid. I have stayed at a few spit and saw dust hotels in Egypt in comparison to this Hilton hotel but they had vast more choice in comparison to the buffet. Yes there were a la cart restaurants to go to but again to reiterate the buffet choice was very poor!!!! It sounds like I am having a complete moan about this hotel but I'm not. All the above I can live with EXCEPT the buffet.....if I did not say already...it was VERY poor in choice!!! Overall it was clean with a great position. They just need to sort out the buffet!!!
