this was our second trip to royal decameron, they both were equally excellent, everything was great, the staff,food,drinks, i can,t wait to go back
Did not get room we requested. Had to wait 2 1/2 hours for room. Room was 1960 style no coffee pot no fridge and they only give you one bottle of water which you have to go refill at the bar. Very noisy and smell of sewer. When it rained which was often you had no cover on your patio. No smoking except designated areas.
We loved our ocean view cottage. The food is amazing and the staff are so sweet. This resort is basic but in the right way, it has all of the stuff you need. Great quiet pool and the beach areas were wonderful. We will be returning next year for sure.
3 Star Rating With 5 Star Service
My wife and I loved every aspect of this all inclusive property. The view was 5 star, the service was 5 star and the food and drinks were very good. Maid service was 5 star. This property is beautiful and very well kept. We had a one room suite. It had a separate bedroom which is perfect especially when travelling with kids. This was a very unique experience as 90 percent of the rooms were individual units with air conditioning and many with ocean and garden views. I would highly recommend this property. Again, the rating for this property is 3 star but I would give it 5 star for service.
It was the best experience in my life the staff took great care of me and I was treated as a queen.
The best I recommended to my friends and my co-workers. I would to return again the cottage was so beautiful the whole resort is. No complaint at all, everything was amazing. Jamaican staff was very friendly even the tour guides
The staff is the best!
We have never encountered the high quality of staff anywhere else. You feel more like an extended part of their family and not just another guest. Next trip we become official "Jamericans".

RDCC was a wonderful experience. the room was perfect, the service was exceptional, food & entertainment very, very good. RDMB was a very disorganized mess. the staff at check in was completely overwhelmed due to a Jamaican holiday. there were no managers to be found to help rectify the situation. the food & entertainment staff were definitely subpar also. we stayed at this property last year at this time & it has definitely gone downhill.
The hotel was older but very clean. The staff was exceptional! They were friendly, always ready to assist in anything you needed. The food was wonderful and always something new to try every day. Our cottage wasn't ready when we arrived so they offered us a suite with a free safe and if we liked the suite better we could stay there at no extra cost. We did stay in the suite and did not get any extra charge. The entertainment staff were awesome. They didn't just entertain on the stage, but they came out to the guest numerous times during the day and night to ask if we were having a good time etc. A lot of them made sure they hugged you good bye even, We would really recommend this resort to anyone. But don't expect top notch room like the larger resorts but do expect excellent everything else.
Lovely , quaint older property.
Was at this property over 30 years ago with my Mom. Was quiet and quaint. Many improvements since then but still recognizable. Food is good but very bland to cater to all tastes. Landscape lush and well maintained. Had beach front cottage which didn't require ac which was a good thing because it didn't work. Heavy French guest population and catered entertainment to them. Good vacation for the money. You will be harassed by many staff to buy drugs, fetch them a drink from the bar or for tips or money.
Worst time in Jamaica yet
We have been to Jamaica many times,we don't go for a lot of star ratings so we know that it's going to be rundown & older. What we don't expect is not good food at the buffet & the restaurants & there is a wall right behind some of the garden view huts where residents live. Their dogs howl & bark every night around 3 or 4 am. And you hear all the cars on the road. I came home to sleep all night & eat good. People that work there are lovely. But we won't go back there
Week at resort
I enjoyed the staff and beach. If I could make changes it would be to have a better variety of food and restaurant options, especially in afternoon when buffet is closed. The only place to get a nite is at the snack place. It would be nice to have a grill where guests could just grab a burger or jerk chicken and take it to pool or beach.

let me start by saying that the folks who write bad reviews about this place are just moaning for the sake of it .
this resort is stunning in every way. the food can be a bit samey but it's the same where ever you go in the world .
our cottage was set in lush gardens with a massive very comfy bed and good air con
that worked just fine and a nice big shower. the cottage was cleaned expertly everyday.
the entertainment crew are superb and so friendly (special mention to flamez vip and
the fantastic mr cool who remembered us from last year and calls my wife mummy lol
all in all I cant recommend this resort highly enough .

Our wonderful Jamaican honeymoon
We have just returned from a wonderful honeymoon stay at the Royal Decameron Club Caribean All inclusive! And we are gutted to be home! From start to finish nothing was too much trouble! The weather was amazing we were very lucky to only have a few days of 'liquid sunshine'
The entertainment team are a credit and work so very hard! They are always bright, energetic and ready for everything! They are very talented we loved watching them dance and joining in the beach activities 'school' with Mr cool ( we need to graduate on our next visit) the entertainment manager is great and has a wonderful team! All the staff were fantastic we would like to mention them: Mabel our room attendant, Delmar & Devon the lifeguards, Daneil, Oshane, Cornell, Kendra our favourite bar team, Enrico and Dwayne the maintenance guys and of course Mr Cool, VIP, Detergent, Razor, Flames & Skittles and their manager (the entertainment team) the grounds staff work hard to keep everything clean and tidy and even climbed the trees to give us coconuts, all the restaurant staff are nice and friendly and give good service.
Our cottage was wonderful (147) was perfect, nice room, garden facing, nice big bathroom, big king size bed and Mabel put flowers on our bed everyday!
We cannot wait to come back and visit again we are saving our pennies now!
Our only complaint is that the WIFI should be free, but I had no worries not using my phone and it didn't effect our holiday!

Still a great resort
The hurricanes left a mess on the beaches, which had to be sorted, but apart from that no major problems.
I did get annoyed by a new trainee barman who was completely ignorant, serving you if he had to, and often he didn't, but the other staff were super.
Restaurant meals were ok, enough to eat, choice ok, and waiters, Max, David, Kermit and Tevin really went 150% to give you good service.
Met great people and loved it again.
Holiday get away for 2
Best holiday so far. We came here in June 2016. Absolutely lovely resort. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Not over crowded. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Food was to die for. Drinks are not watered down like some other resorts you stay at. We loved it so much at runaway we've booked to come out again in June 2018. I can't wait. This was our first time to Jamaica and has not been our last. Booked up again to go here in September 2018. Accommodation, food and staff all made the holiday perfect. Very relaxing but plenty to do if you want to. Everyone very help especially Zip the taxi driver, who took us on a tour of Montego Bay
