Apple Vacations Traveller Reviews
Time share hell!!!
We arrived at 3pm after 7 hours of travel and just want to get into our room. It was not ready. We were approached by a gentleman from the hotel who wanted to talk to us. We thought it was an Apple rep. Turned out we wanted to talk to us about time shares. We wanted nothing to do with this. When we went back to check on our room status and it wasn’t ready we tried to go get a drink and food but we were greeted again by the time share guy. He wouldn’t let us go until we finally said stop. It was nearly an hour before our room was ready. Our checkin slip said we were to be in room 2616 but ended up being in room 2207. That room was a nightmare. Closest to the elevator. Closet was musty. Room next door was full of loud screaming children. Seal of the shower/tub leaked making the marble floor slippery. The adult pool bar not only was the temperature of human body fluids but closed at 5pm. So after getting settled in we had 15 min of adult pool time. So we had to “relax” after our long travel by the kids pool. Where we found out that bar was closed. Needless to say not a very welcoming start to our vacation. Dinner reservations policy was confusing. We weren’t informed that reservations needed to be made 24 hrs in advance and that one of the restaurants was closed. If it wasn’t for the bar/serving staff this trip would have been a huge waste of time and money.
for our purpose in celebrating with our family of 18 our 70 birthdays, it was excellent for the ages of the 8 children
everything was really good except that we specifically requested and ocean view room, and at the time of check in the no too nice person at the reception area said they don't have any ocean view room, only partial ocean view rooms.
First time vacation
It's a nice resort, the room I got wasent the room that I pay for, I ask for 2 queen beds and got 1 king n a roll out bed. The people that are in the from with time share are annoying you think they work for the hotel and they bug u. The towel station closed before the pool and also the bar it closed before the pool so we had to go all the to the lobby for any drinks. You also have to tell them what liquor you want if not they give u the cheapest one, and even sometimes if you tell them they act like they didn't understand you.
Not what expected
We were a party of 8 with 3 rooms, 2 rooms the safes and refrigerators were not working so we had to put all our valuables in 1 room. The food was pretty much the same throughout out 8 day stay for the buffet. Most of the food was bland in taste but the specialty restaurants were great. The hotel is old and needs some renovations. The rooms had a strong damp odor as well as the pillows and bedding. I would not recommend this hotel.
Too many kids.
Too many kids at the hotel. It became a problem because the parents just let their kids run wild. The kids were allowed in the bars causing us to not want to spend anytime there. Kids should not be allowed in the bars. We also did not have hot watert for 2 days. Septic system at the hotel was bad. Restrooms smelled bad. The service was good and the food was excellent. The beach was beautiful and well kept.
The only thing that we did not like is that the hotel is that their staff try to get you to buy their timeshare.
WELL worth the money
We originally were scheduled to stay for 3 nights, but wound up extending the stay to 5 nights. Food was above average for the buffets and the specialty restaurants were quite good. The hotel, itself, is a little outdated, but nothing to be upset about. It took us a bit to figure out that the swim-up bar was located at the adults only pool. The pool was on floor 1, which isn't the main level, and was a bit tricky to find from the map. I'm glad we did find it, though. Gerardo, the bartender was very friendly and made sure we were well cared for. Paola, the activities director was sassy and fun. One of the activities was a big water balloon fight in the pool. First time I've done that. So much fun! On Tuesday, there was a DJ that played great House music. The beach.... PHENOMENAL. So beautiful and well cared for. I don't recall ever seeing a beach cleaning machine (I guess that's what you call it), but it was in use several times to make sure there was no debris. The biggest thing I could complain about is that the elevators are a bit slow. If that's the worst thing you can complain about, it's a great place! I'd ABSOLUTELY come back and actually feel like Apple has underrated the resort a bit.
buffet restaurant la palapa
this restaurant was to small for a big hotel, either they have adlt section that always was empty and you have to stay with your family more than half an hour to tray a get a table.
Overall, a great place to stay and worth the money. The kids paradise was awesome to use. We were able to take our kids there and leave them for an hour so we could get a massage on the beach. They also went there for a night so we could eat dinner. We stayed for 8 nights which was a great length for us. The breakfast was AWESOME. Made to order omlettes, made to order smoothies. Lunch and dinner were not always great in the buffet. Not enough "kid friendly" options. Lines also can be long for made to order items. The kids love the ice cream station, but it is where you scoop your ice cream. Having young kids scooping their own ice cream takes forever and they only have two stations with one scooper each. The beach was amazing, but the waves from the wind were high. The "endless pool" was a great place to hang out with the family. The shade pool was a great option as well for those with kids so you don't have to constantly worry about them being in the sun. There were so many activities for young kids to do that this was a great place for a family vacation. I would not recommend this place for an adult only vacation.
The specialty restaurants were extremely hard to get into. You have to call the day before at 0800. It was very inconvenient as you would have to make sure you were back from breakfast by then or leave for breakfast after calling if you wanted to get in. On the day before our last night we went to the concierge to find out why we couldn't get into the Mexican restaurant even after calling and waiting on hold right at 0800. They were able to finally get us in because I told them that it would not be a good end to the vacation without getting to eat at the Mexican restaurant. I'm glad I complained and we got in. Best restaurant we went to at the resort.
Best vacation in Cancun!
I loved the view from our room. The bed was so comfortable. I loved the beach and the adult pool was my favorite. I would definitely go back to this hotel!

It was lovely holiday. Great place, good service. Big thanks to Alexis who look after us on breakfast, Pedro in beach bar and Lucas who clean room. Our room view wasn’t best cos there is old hotel next to it. Food is amazing.
We love the Crown Paradise Club!!
Everything was perfect! I would recommend it to anyone!! The service was superb & the food was great! Lots of vegetarian choices & the bars had no lines for drinks. Kids had a great time too! The rooms were clean & hotel was well kept. Shows at night were fun too!! Only thing I would change is to heat the pools. I love a nice warm pool to swim in. We will come back to this hotel when we go to Cancun again.

Very stressful to get a proper vacation. When we arrived in Cancun Airport on our Westjet vacation our names were not on the reservation for our shuttle. When we arrived at the Crown Paradise with our daughter n son in law n two grandkids they did not have my daughters reservation But they did have my other daughter’s reservation as arriving that day. But she was not arriving for two days later. We phoned Westjet who we blocked the vacation with n they said they could not help as they booked our vacation with Best Day Travel. We kept asking if our other daughter was also booked two days later and on today but we were told no. After 1,5 hours of standing at the desk with a 3 year old n a 1 year old that had been up all day then some how they realized that my other daughter did have two reservations. One for that day n another two days away. With that straightened out then we got to our room. This gets to the scary part. Many many chipped floor tiles. Most room corners looked muddy or looked like they had black mould. That nite the patio door banged in the wind. The caulking in between the floor tiles was a gross black colour. But in some places there was actually a normal white colour. The palms of our feet were actually black from walks by on our floor. Every nite that the wind was bad we were woken very often with with a loud bang from the patio door. By 3 am I was so upset that I went down to the front desk to see if I cud get a better room n told the guy at the desk all the problems. I was told I could have a better room but I wud have to pay for it. Well I did. But a lot of the corners still have that black mud mould look to them. They will tell u it is not dirt. Well most of it is because the people who put down a lot of gross caulking work did not clean up the overflow n it gets filled with dirt, hardens n sits there looking gross. Today I did not feel well so I ordered room service. It was the slowest room service I ever experienced n was so very very cold If u want photos. I have them. Especially the ones of trying to jam face clothes into the patio door so it won’t bang in the wind
Marianna at lobby bar was awesome, service was great, food was awesome, Rubecel at buffets was very good as well. Rooms were clean, A very good resort. Highly recommend. Everything about this resort was awesome.
What a great place for families.
Prashanti, irayda, isasti and the rest of the rest of the animation team are amazing too. We will be coming back for sure. Make sure you also checkout the shows. Fun for the whole family.
