We took this trip as our first time at an all inclusive resort. We were a bit skeptical of what we might actually get once we arrived. We were very pleased. The view from our room and from the pool area was AMAZING! All the staff were so willing to take care of any problems and so friendly!
Celebrating 30 yrs Anniversay. You will not be disapponted.
We loved the small details of "Happy Anniversary" on the door to the sweet decorated cake that was left for us to celebrate our special day. I got a wonderful massage at the spa, that was delightful and relaxing. The cabana at the adult pool as available for us to use, very relaxing. Overall we had a wonderful time and everyone was very helpful and always wanting to make sure we were taken care of. Looking forward to visiting again. Highly recommend.
I stayed at this hotel from October 1-6 in room 3307. My experience here had many ups and a few downs. I’ll start with the good. First of all I want to say the staff here overall was amazing when it came to service at the bars and restaurants. They work very hard to give you amazing service. I wish I got some of the names of the staff members. But the two bartenders that we there every night at the main bar inside we’re both so friendly and made our stay here great with their service! We also had a few good waiters, I believe one of them was by the name of Cesar, we had at dinner at the buffet. We also had a great waiter at the Asian and Italian restaurant, I just can’t remember their names. The food here all around was Amazing!!! We loved the hibachi at the Asian restaurant, great experience!! Breakfast every morning at the Buffett was also really good, the omelet station was my favorite, you get to see it being made right in front of you. Our room had an amazing view, which over looked the pool and beach area, lovely to watch the sunset and sunrise from. Now to the bad- when we arrived to the hotel we were greeted by a woman, who was friendly but I didn’t like the fact that she was already asking us for $20 to hold a spot for a timeshare breakfast, of course saying it wasn’t a time share when that’s what it basically was. We had so much going on after just landing and we were tired and we just wanted to check into our room so we agreed to this breakfast, she kept saying she was gonna offer us some “discounts on activities” although we already booked our activities in advance before getting there, which I recommend. A few days later we went back for our $20 because we had another activity planned for that day and didn’t wanna wake up super early to go to a timeshare breakfast. We told her this and she seemed kinda annoyed and kept asking us are you sure you have something to do? And trying to convince us to still do it (I’m guessing she gets some type of commission from this). Obviously if were asking for our money back we don’t wanna do it, so I don’t know why we were being questioned or pressured into doing it still. That was that. Now to the room. Our fridge was leaking and so was the AC from the ceiling, we had to put a towel under these areas to keep from slipping due to the continuous leaking. When we arrived we also noticed the chain lock on the door was also broken off and the balcony was soaked with water but I guess that’s because it was raining before we got there. I was also a bit disappointed because I did notify the hotel before getting there about our anniversary that we were celebrating, hoping for something special done in our room or for dinner but nothing was done, which I didn’t bother to bring up to the front desk. So I suggest anyone that’s celebrating anything special let them know in person once getting there. I also found the dress code for men to be a bit much, one of the days we tried to go into the Buffett to eat a quick breakfast before our excursion and were turned away because my boyfriend was wearing a tank top. So we didn’t bother to go back up and have him change because that was a waste of time since we were leaving soon to our excursion. We also noticed they kept on mentioning to us about the dress code for men at dinner, which they needed to wear long sleeve shirts, which we complied with but then when we went to dinner saw multiple men wearing just regular t shirts so that I didn’t really understand. Women can basically wear what ever you want, there’s no dress code. So that kinda sucks for the guys that their a bit stricter when it came to them. The outdoor pool was also very dirty and filled with alge, which you could feel on your skin once getting out of the pool. Me and my boyfriend couldn’t stay in for long, we had to get out. There were random things floating in the pool such as cups and other things, it really grossed me out. You’re better off just going to the beach. The worst experience I had here was when it was time for us to leave. For some reason our safe was not opening up, we kept on getting an error message, which was strange because we were entering the right code and it was working the entire trip but I guess it malfunctioned last minute. Obviously this was a problem because we had our passports in there and were trying to leave to go catch our flight. We must’ve called for help about 6 times, as well as going down to the front desk before somebody came to open up our safe, which took almost an hour. We were told it was because of an emergency where a visitor broke his head by the pool, which I understand is very serious but I don’t understand how it took the entire staff to assist with that situation and that there was nobody else available to just come open up our safe. Luckily we got it out just in time to leave for the airport. Overall we had a great time and really appreciated all the hard working staff here and all of the all inclusive options they had available. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to others and would stay here on my next trip to Cancun.
