Great value for your vacation dollars!!!
Feb 06 2018
We had a wonderful 4-night stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Food in all the restaurants was outstanding and the service was excellent. Some of the kindest people from desk clerks, bartenders, wait staff, housekeepers we’ve ever experienced. The service in the restaurants was especially good—over the top. I highly recommend the Oasis Palm especially if you have children. They will love the children’s play area with a pirate theme as well as the pool toys.

Hotel was decent for price. Beach and pool nice. Bar on beach you will wait 20 to 30 min for a drink so miswell stay in line. Food choices are very poor. Breakfeast was about the best meal not many choices.

This hotel was not a comfortable place to stay. My room was hot (air conditioner wasn't working correctly). No coffee maker was provided in the room. The coffee shop they had open had terrible coffee, and they did not have creamer. The staff was helpful when you tipped a lot of money. Otherwise they were not very friendly or helpful.

The hotel staff worked constantly to keep the pool and beach areas clean. The staff providing daily activities were enthusiastic and friendly. The wait service at the buffets was inconsistent. The nightly shows we're entertaining but sometimes in a cheesy way, such as the Michael Jackson show. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a clean, pleasant resort without luxury.

Just OK

When we booked this hotel, we read the reviews and knew we would get what we paid for. It is family friendly. The shallow water was good for kids, the kid's supervised area was wonderful, but everything else was very fair. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I would rate it a three apple. Not four. Read all the reviews and be prepared. If you don't expect much, then you will have a good time. I will suggest going to the sister hotel if you want waves in the ocean. However, we were surprised they didn't have transportation. We had to get a cab and go over. Now, that was a hotel!

All inclusive not what it is supposed to be
Jun 30 2014
When we got off the plane and looked for the Apple rep, he was not looking for us because we where not on the correct list. The flight information on his documents was incorrect. We then get to the hotel and get told there is "two" types of inclusive. We are the purple band so we can only eat at 2 restaurants. They "upgraded" our room but made it more difficult to walk up to the bar because we had to walk out of our hotel tower and across the pool to the other hotel. Everything was in the other hotel. It was a hassle! Then we are harassed by a timeshare company that didn't want us to meet with the Apple rep for tours. Then in our room the water came out yellow in the shower and the blankets smelled dirty. I wish I would of been told about the different levels of all inclusive upfront. Also some of the workers at the restaurants would make comments of why my 6 year old doesn't speak Spanish. That is none of their business and they should of not been saying anything to me about that!

Very disappointed with the hotel service overall. Lines for everything elevator, restaurant ,they lie about all inclusive you're limited on everything , an the worst part there is bedbugs on their rooms. Won't ever book on Oasis hotels again.

Worst Hotel Ever!

From the minute we walked in the service was horrible! Front staff was walking around and not helping people check in! I had to ask three different people for proper line to check in! We paid for ocean view room and were told that although we had view we didn't have windows that open or balcony! Hotel has 6 restaurants but we were only able to eat at two of them!! Lines to eat were ridiculous and food was flavorless. Hotel is extremely understaffed and staff are not friendly! I would never ever stay there again!

Great stay at the Oasis Palm
Mar 19 2014
Stayed 7 nights at the Oasis Palm with 4 friends over spring break, all college students. We had such a great time during our stay. The hotel staff was working round the clock and it was very clean. The food was decent in the restaurants, every night had different things, tons of options. The bartenders were good, drinks strong and the wait was never too long. The beach/pool area very cleanly and had music going all day. Nightlife at the hotel was decent, the club there was always pretty busy and had a good time there. We went during college spring break so it was tons of kids everywhere, so that was great, always something going in. Everyone was very respectful so families and older couples could still enjoy themselves. Only thing was the rooms felt a little damp and had the moist smell, but it is year round tropical weather so that is expected! I would recommend this hotel to others. Seen some pretty negative reviews but felt they were false. We were kind of nervous on going after seeing them online but were very impressed with everything.

Over all we loved it all and grate location in town to walk around or even do some shopping!!

Best Trip Ever!!!!!

Love, love, love this place! We were looking for a place to celebrate our 5 year Anniversary also a place we could bring the kids and this place was highly recommended by a friend. It exceeded our expectations for an all inclusive resort, by far! Our concierge Ari was fantastic very helpful and we don't speak very good Spanish so his English helped us out so much, He made our trip extra special with his helpful recommendations on beaches to see tours to take, even little shops I could get gifts for my family!!!Each time we returned to our room, rose petals, champagne, personalized notes, etc. He also did a wonderful job making reservations for dinner, massages, and poolside beds. The rooms are super clean. Our shower leaked on the first day but we just mentioned it to Ari and it was fixed by the time we went to get ready for dinner. Forgot to mention they also have this kids club where they would babysit for hours while me and my hubby had free time. The best part of this trip was we were able to enjoy it as family and for the hotel and staff(ESPECIALLY ARI) to make us feel at home.

Great time for a few days.

See my opinion for the Grand Oasis which is the same as for this resort since myself and my friends were spread on both resorts due to remodeling construction happening at the time but the two hotels seat next to each other separated by just a few yards of distance and offer the same amenities.

Return Trip to Cancun 2018

I returned to Cancun in April 2018 for a second visit with my 18 year old daughter to the Oasis Palm. I had previously stayed in 2009 and there have been a few changes in the 9 years since I last stayed. This resort is now a family resort so if your not into multiple families with small to middle aged children running around this is not the resort for you. The pool was completely taken over by kids, however we just hit the beach and ocean which was way less populated & we always found beach chairs to lounge on after our swim. Beach was kepted clean and staff would always pick up sea weed that was on the beach and remove it every morning. The only issue there is when people are kayaking, they have to stay within the roped off area which is also the swimming area. A few close calls with kayaks are to be expected. Wi-Fi is not free and you have to pay $45.00 USD for 5 days for 2 devices or $10.00 per day USD for 1 device. We paid for 5 days and found the Wi-Fi was reliable and had no problems with it other then having to pay for it. Another extra charge was a lock for the safe in the room, which was approx. $7.00 per day. This is a option and I choose to pay for a lock to keep valuables safe. Overall, the resort was kepted clean and the food was as to be expected - resort food but we found food to fill our bellies and they had a few good servers who were super friendly & ready to offer you beverages. I usually left them a tip as well. Many people I have found like to complain about resort food and my thoughts on that people seem to expect food to look, taste and smell like the food they eat at home. If your not a picky eater, you will do just fine here. It was a hit and miss in terms of the staff and their ability to be friendly. But we were not mistreated in anyway. Housekeeping was efficient and did a great job with the rooms. I always left 20 pesos on each beds for the housekeeper and our room was one that was usually attended to first & extra bottled water left. Depending on the bartender would determine the amount of alcohol you got in a drink. Tipping them is one way to guarantee a stiff drink! There was a bus stop right outside the resort and pretty easy to access to get around. I do advise you get on, sit down quickly and hold on. They do drive like a bat of hell. Overall my daughter and I enjoyed our stay and for the price we paid we got what we paid for. If your looking for an affordable resort and are not overly picky this may be a good choice for you.

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, stay away.

This “resort” was horrible. Loud music thumping at all hours, starting with giant speakers on the beach at 9 a.m. food was terrible with very few options. The beach and water here is trashy, with salespeople approaching you all day long. The pool deck is loud and at one point there was feces on the side of the pool that did not get cleaned up for many hours. The lobbys of both buildings smelled so strongly like chemical disenfectant. The bar lines were looooong and the drinks were very bad- sugary and weak. The ONE redeeming factor about this place is that the staff is very kind. Save yourself the international travel and just go to Daytona Beach.... it’s basically the same thing.

I HIGHLY Recommend this Resort

This was my first time staying at a resort since I was a little kid, so I was really in for a surprise. As soon as I got to the door, the staff welcomed me with a warm greeting and took my baggage to a storage room, while I proceeded to check-in. Because check-in time was at 3:00 pm, I could not get my room until then, which was fine because I was already provided with my wristband, which gave me immediate access to all facilities, restaurants, bars, etc at the resort. I met a bunch of my friends who were there already and dived into the fun. Service at this resort was amazing. The staff were by-far the best I've ever experienced. Also, practice some some Spanish, it helps when speaking to them and also ALWAYS tip them, they work really hard and deserve it. The front-desk and guest services were also very helpful when I had an issue, they follow the rules very effectively, and their manager provided me with a fair solution. The workers are VERY trustworthy. They don't steal. Food & Drinks - Both great, no complains here. The food was almost identical everywhere. I tried food at the Oasis Palm, Grand Oasis Palm and Pyramid Grand Oasis and the food was consistent and/or similar to one another. I don't blame them, in business, we call this standardization. Everything fresh, everything clean and tasty. The lack of variety is a little issue that you can always look past considering the incredible service and quality of the resort. The hotel does get noisy at night thanks to nightly entertainment. No flaws here, after all, you are on vacation. The pool wasn't deep, but then again they were designed for children. Very kid friendly pools, and very kid friendly entertainment. The Grand Oasis next door has an even better pool, which you can use while staying at the Oasis Palm. The beach was okay, clean with staff and security and random people hustling to make a living selling coconuts, mangoes, cigars, and hand-made jewelry. What made it okay was that the shore had no waves. The resort is also close to Parque Playa Langosta, which is filled with locals and is worth checking out. Bus stop is across the street to get into the Hotel Zone shops, but it's worth it. Bus fare is only 12 pesos, way cheaper than going by taxi or by rental car. The biggest flaw was that wifi cost money. 200 pesos for 24 hours, 500 pesos for 5 days cash only. Also the rooms have a window that's more or less see through, so you or other guests can see your junk as you take a shower. Overall, this was a memorable stay and I highly recommend it.
