I would not ever return.. The electricity went off about 10 times a day... everywhere you went it was so hot and humid and our room didnt have air conditioning the entire first day then off and on for the next 4. The food was very marginal and everything was just a hassle. Only 2 treadmills at the gym.. Not at all what we expected and we have traveled a lot. You couldn't pay me to return... We could never get anyone to clean our room or bring us fresh towels.. Had to call the office daily to ask if someone could come and sweep the sand out of the room. TERRIBLE SERVICE

First time "All Inclusive" - won't be the last - Royal Service is the way to go!

We visited Paradisus,Punta Cana for 9 days during Hurricane Irma and couldn't have been more pleased with the resort or the resort's response to the impending weather event. We were kept informed with constant updates either via notes slipped under the room door or via our butler, Miguel. The resort is beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained. The rooms are spacious and very very clean. My husband and I stayed in the Royal Service section of the resort and we were very pleased with this choice. Our favorite restaurant “La Palapa” is only available if you opt to stay there with Royal Service. Speaking of Royal Service, the Royal Service lounge staff and our butler were very helpful when it came to extending our stay due to travel interruptions caused by Hurricane Irma. Miguel rearranged our transportation back to the airport and even helped with telephone calls to the airline in our attempt to find alternate flights back to the states. (An added benefit of staying Royal Service is complimentary transportation to and from the airport). Staying at the resort in Royal Service also comes with the added benefit of access to an adults-only pool and a partitioned area of the beach with luxurious and extremely comfortable loungers. I do recommend, however, that even if staying Royal Service, you do not limit yourself to just the adults-only pool and venture to the general pool area. This larger pool has wonderful entertainment provided by the excellent resort staff – special mention to Jose Cappuccino (Jose Vincente Vincente). I don't think I've ever laughed so much!!! Some of the pool-side entertainment includes, dance lessons, cocktail making lessons and candle making to name a few. There is also in-pool entertainment with paddleboarding lessons and aerobics. All of the Staff were very friendly and welcoming but we have to give a special mention to the evening entertainment staff at Gabi Beach – you guys made our vacation!!

I travelled to a resort solo for the first time in my life. I chose Paradisus because my friends offered me their time share and booked me in a suite with club melia. The service and the attention you get make you feel like royalty, The activities on the resort were made unique due to the professionalism of the staff and how comfortable they make you feel. I personally fell in love with Andrea who does zumba by the pool and she has the most adorable smile. Daniel is pretty amazing too, and has moves like no one else :-) The night shows are really nice and very classy. I wish that they last a little longer per night and maybe introduce some where the audience is more engaged . The facility is extremely clean, I could walk bare feet anywhere, whether inside, by the pool or on the beach. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Rooms are beautiful. Although I was alone, I didn't feel it, and it ended up being one the best vacation of my life I highly recommend staying at this resort on your next vacation.

Great Property but beware of melia sol points system

I have stayed at this property 6 times. I love the property. Servicio royale is the only way to go if going without children. Here is my problem. The time before last that I went I purposely booked directly through the hotel so that I would get the benefit of my points from melia sol. They were not credited. Took about 20 phone calls after I returned home. Was ridiculous!. Last time I went same problem. My husband was terminally ill at the time and I did not have the energy to fight the fight again. The points were never credited. I did call several times. So the points are basically a scam in my opinion. Although I love this property I swore I would not go back. However, this property has many good memories for me. I started looking again and am considering going but it drives me crazy that these points were never properly credits to me. 10 days booked directly through melia sol and NO points. Is it because the corporate offices are not american based? That should not make a difference. I welcome someone from the corporate offices to fix this so that I can go back and enjoy the property without feeling cheated.
