Worst vacation we've had
This was the worst vacation experience we have had. The flight was 6 hours late, when we arrived at the hotel they overbooked and didn't have a room for us. They then put us in a nicer Reserve room for the night but we had to check out the next day at noon and then our original room wasn't ready until 3pm. The whole process of checking out and checking back in cost me several hours with my family on day 2 of our vacation since I had to go to the front desk to check out and again to check in and the resort is very large. Because we didn't have a room until 3pm, we couldn't make reservations for the restaurants until we had the new room number so we had to wait until the afternoon on day 2 to make reservations and because of that we didn't get some of the restaurants we really wanted. In fact, they gave us reservations to one that we didn't even ask for. The hotel staff was not friendly at all from the front desk to the wait staff. The cleaning service wouldn't even come until after 4:30 each day. While we were at our stay the toilet broke at 10:30 at night on our third day and there were bugs on my clothes when we stored them in the closet so I had to keep them in my luggage the entire week. I was shocked at the good reviews and expected better. Our travel agent was able to get us $400 vouchers for another Apple vacation and it expires in one year. Sorry Apple, that isn't enough. At a minimum we should be able to use the vouchers for a longer period than one year. We have spent over $20,000 with Apple of the last few years and will be not be using Apple anymore based on how they handled this.
Hands down best staff out of all the resorts I have stayed at. The hotel is beautiful, food was great, the size of the resort was a big issue. You have to take a trolley almost every. We had an upgraded room by the Beach if your booking that's the way to go. Otherwise prepare go walk!!! If you dont want to catch a trolley its easy to get 15-20,000 steps a day. Trust me my sister got a standard room and we keep track of our steps. Plus her standard room was bigger than my upgraded room!

The main problem for me was the buffet at breakfast and lunch - poor sellection small and long lines. Specialty restaurants are exellent
This by far was the best resort ! Other than our delayed checkin everything else was fantastic! Resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Staff was amazing and how they all want to learn english! Food at the restaurants was excellent! We can't wait to go back!
Also our Apple rep Angel was extremely helpful and pleasant
Pardiius , Punta Cana: was excellent. The staff was great, food was excellent my girlfriend love Mole resturant ( Mexican food). My birthday dinner was at Passion food was good. Little expensive that was a extra fee.
This was our 2nd time there will be going back again.
It was ok.
I was not happy at all with my bathroom. I was expecting a bigger buffet & more of a variety of food.
Paradisus Punts Cana
The resort itself, along with the staff was excellent. However, we felt pressured to attend basically a time share program. Plus it was such a large resort, I would have preferred a more intimate resort. If I returned to Punts Cana, it would not be to the Paradisus resort.
Did not live up to expectations!!!!
Check in went good but we where bombarded with staff telling us to upgrade and how what we paid for only allowed us to a limit part of the hotel amenities. Then we sat through a travel seminar which we were forced into to only be treated rudely because we declined and the rest of the stay the staff where not friendly. We had problems with our toilet multiple times with no fix just temporary fixes day by day. We also had ants in our bed multiple days and the hotel just would keep changing sheets and leave a bottle of bug spray in our room for us to keep using. Tried to get another room but would not accommodate with out a $600 upgrade. We also booked this trip for our honeymoon and upon arrival no one had let the hotel know for that service provided. Not pleased with what we thought we where going to get and really did not.
Hotel Staff and service
Hotel service was excellent. All were very pleasant. Nice variety of food and restaurants available. Maid service was excellent and all staff extremely pleasant.
We were not informed beforehand that we would be pressured to attend a 90 minute presentation. Our guide assigned to us when we arrived was not completely forthcoming about the presentation. He made a lot of promises about making our dinner reservations, and getting us vouchers for the spa, etc. and jewelry. The next morning when he was taking us to breakfast, we didn't realize we were getting primed for a presentation. When we left before the presentation, that was the last we ever saw of our guide and needless to say, he never made those dinner reservations or did we get any vouchers. We were also disappointed in the casino which consisted of only about 10 slot machines and a couple gaming tables. I must say that the entertainment in the theater was exceptional. The beach was absolutely beautiful. We also enjoyed the pool activities, water exercises and especially the water bike spinning classes. The instructors were great!! I also wish we were better informed of the different levels of wrist bands and what they meant before we made our travel arrangements.
Very pretty however some problems
We arrived to a broken bed that took 4 days to fix, however no money offered back or any services extra given. Room service repeatly came in though do not disturb signs were up. Shuttle forgot to stop at our hotel to get us the day for departure, they had us wait an hour to get on next shuttle causing us to almost miss flight. However, the beach was beautiful and the food was great.

Pros and Cons
Just returned from a week long stay at the Paradisus Punta Cana with my boyfriend. Overall, we had a good time. The resort is nice and the food was great at the restaurants. However, there are some things at this resort that need some work. Here are the pros and cons:
1. The lobby, pool area, restaurants, bars etc. are gorgeous. Modern, clean and tranquil.
2. The beach was nice, with soft sand and turquoise water.
3. Most staff was good, especially our pool waiter, Argenis de los Santos. He was so kind to us and made our stay even more amazing.
4. The food at the restaurants was great. We ate at The Grill (our favorite, steakhouse type of restaurant), Vento (italian), Aqua (italian), Fuego (Asian Fusion) and Mole (Mexican, which was also open for lunch so we ate there pretty much every day)
1. The room was nice, but not very clean upon arrival. Also, the windows and door were thin and hard to lock, so we heard so much noise very early in the morning.
2. The walkways need to be redone and there are cracks and holes where it is easy to trip, especially because the lighting is so dim at night.
3. The alcohol is extremely watered down. We did not do royal service, but it might be worth it for the higher-quality booze.
4. The people who try to sell you excursions at the pool are relentless. We finally gave in and booked one, only to receive a call at 8am the morning-of that it was canceled. It was our second to last day, so we couldn't reschedule. Then when we tried to get a refund, they wouldn't give it to us. We complained to the hotel, and will need to dispute it with the credit card company if we don't get our money back. Beware of the excursion sellers!
5. We had a luxury suite with a jacuzzi, and the jacuzzi water was BROWN!
6. The food at the buffets was below average and repetitive, so we tried to avoid it as much as possible.
7. There was a lack of activities both during the day and at night. We went to the casino a few times, but it is very small. The staff here needs to step it up when it comes to activities.
Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. This was our first time in Punta Cana, so we do not have anything else to compare it to. If we come back, we will probably stay somewhere else.
WOW WOW WOW!!!!!
We just got back from an incredible week at Paradisus Punta Cana and I just cant say enough good things about the resort. We came for my husbands 40th Birthday as a group of seven and we all had the best holiday. The dinners every night were delicious and fun, the property is beautiful, but the service is what we will remember most. The service at this resort is just Exceptional. Everyone we met was so lovely and we had so much fun getting to know the staff around the resort, especially Ricardo. Ricardo went above and beyond to make sure our trip was perfection. Even before our arrival his service was more than I ever expected. He really made our vacation perfect and it was such a treat getting to know him. Thank you so much Paradisus, we will be back for sure.
Always preferring Paradisus
Being assiduous clients of Melia and having visited Paradisus Cancun and Playa del Carmen we initially chose another Resort for our 45 anniversary in Punta Cana , looking for something exciting and new as this was our first time in Dominican Republic .
Very disappointed with our choice of Majestic Mirage Resort we cancelled our stay after the first night and booked what we already knew would be a good choice.
Yes , the rooms are smaller but cleaner and the service is 100% better .
Received by our butler he gave us a very nice room walking distance from the beach and restaurants.
Although the Resort is huge there is a cart that transports you wherever you want , restaurants , gym , spa, etc.
Lots of activities and shows every night ,the food wasn’t excellent compared to other Paradisus in Mexico but the total experience was fantastic .
Absolutely preferring Paradisus !
Paradisus Get Away
We spent a week at Paradises Punta Cana. We arrived January 17th and leave on January the 24th. Im writing this report as we are still here. We are staying in building 31 which was on the north side of the resort and is the second building from the beach. The resort is the perfect size. The food is as good as good as it gets. The buffet is a bit small but worked out very well. We spent every day on the beach. We spent most of our days at the sunrise bar on the beach and had excellent service. Diogenes-Martinez and Juan Batista were the best. They both were very friendly and exceeded what we wanted. There is a good view from this bar and Diogenes-Martinez and Juan Batista made it very fun. Make sure you go her and have fun with them. We stayed in the luxuary room and were the perfect. The cleaning staff did a very good job. And we can't forget the gardeners...... they keep the property looking very nice and clean. I would recomend this resort to to anyone.
Paradisus in paradise
Great hotel in a great location. Fantastic sailing and windsurfing facilities and a chilled vibe at the beachfront bar in the evening. Villa style accommodation means you are close enough to the action but far enough not to be disturbed.
