Grand Palladium Palace & Resort
The resort was very clean. I don't have any complaints on the food, but the earlier you get to the buffets, the better. The pools were beautiful & clean. The drinks were great! The room was always clean, the maids were always on top of making sure you had fresh towels. Only recommendation, has to do with how the place was constructed. The showers, Leak everywhere. We had to create a wall of towels around the shower/bath in order to not get our entire room flooded. Also, the doors to the rooms slam, very loudly. Which makes it difficult to sleep past 8am. The beach was also beautiful, I saw reviews before going of people complaining about the sea weed- there was some sea weed. But it's because of the side of the island the resort is located on, and they do try to keep it maintained. The language barrier was frustrating after a couple of days, very few people spoke fluent English. Ordering at the sit-down restaurants and asking specific questions was very difficult. Overall I would recommend this resort; giving it 4/5 stars overall.
Weekend get away
Overall the place was beautiful, food was good.. the only issue I had was I booked for two inbeds, instead I got one king bed and sdifa. Ed that was hard plastic!!!!! Also, it was hard to get help from the staff unless I went back to

This was our first experience booking with Apple Vacations and we were very pleased! There were apple representatives to greet us at our departing and arriving airport as well as at our resort to give us details about Punta Cana and excursion options. Grand Palladium was an excellent resort! We went as a couple, but this might be a resort you would pick to go with family or friends. There weren't too many people who were there just as couples. This isn't something that bothered us, but if it is something that would bother you then you may want to look into a different resort. The buffet's offered good quality food and had many different varieties. My boyfriend is very picky and he was very satisfied with the food options. If you want to eat at a restaurant be sure to get there early as they fill up quick! Make reservations for the japanese restaurant the day you arrive at the resort if you plan on eating there. We were disappointed when we were not able to make a reservation because it books up so quick and we had no idea. One complain I have is about the maid service. We wen't out for dinner one night and when we returned to our room at about 9:30 the room to our door was open. There was a maid inside of our room cleaning. To me this was definitely not ok since there was already a maid in our room earlier in the day to clean our room. I was a little thrown off by this. Also a few times in the morning a maid would knock on our door, barely gave us enough time to wake up, and would just walk in. After that we kept the top lock on our door so that wouldn't happen again. The maids should just be more courteous of people's privacy. The hotel staff and bar staff were excellent and very friendly, especially inside the sports bar. This resort is huge, so definitely plan some time to explore the resort and see all the different options they have to offer. We got lucky because our room was very close to one of the many pools as well as the beach. If you are looking for a fun place to stay that offers good food, excellent service, and a lot to do I would recommend staying here!
We had a roll a way bed in our room all week after asking 3 times to have it removed. Three of our four rooms had showers that leaked into the room. Phones that didn't work. Restaraunt reservations weee horrible, it was an all week thing. My husband couldn't wear a tank top to the buffet but I seen a woman in a thong with a see through cover up.
Was late in the afternoon before room was cleaned, 2 times did mot receive wash cloths and one night did not have top sheet on bed.
The property is beautiful, there was some construction going on but I appreciate the improvement. The Apple reps were great. The resort is big, that was good for our group. Plenty of room to explore and we were able to get rides most of the time. The rooms are nice, shower is poorly designed as I've read many say, but it was just an inconvenience, nothing major. Service can be spotty in the buffets but very good in the restaurants. It gets better after a few days when we became more familiar faces. We enjoyed the buffets with many things to choose from. The Steakhouse was our favorite restaurant. The beach is beautiful, clean white sand, clear blue water, the best I've seen. Overall a great trip, relaxing, no major problems to report, we would definitely go back!
Upon check in..the manager on duty wouldn't listen to me and I was trying to ask if an upgrade was available and what the price would be. There were 9 of us in our party and we arrived early so they weren't busy. As one of the rooms were not close to others we did ask for room change and a young lady did take care of that. But upgrade wasn't offered nor was I able to ask. He just wanted to hurry us off. The rooms were all good and we were please with the locations. However, I asked for specifics for my minifridge and even left a note in spanish to have only coca light, cerveza and agua. For 2 days still did not get my request. We finally caught the drink boy and explained to him what we wanted and he complied. However it was not on a daily basis. I was lucky if I even got one soda. Had to take from our other party's rooms. Rediculous for a simple request and I left him a tip which he gladly took on more than one occasion. Most of the staff is not friendly. We travel many times to resorts and I was appalled at how lax the staff is here. Pool service was horrible. No enthusiasm at all. We ordered from pool server (pina colada) not sure what we were given but def not a pina colada. No smiles just mopey all day. The bar staff was ok just depended on who was there. Ramon took care of us several times and was always friendly. The beach bar staff was the same. Just there no enthusiasm at all. The only place we ever felt wanted was the buffet..Nico was our morning waiter and he was always friendly and nice and so Mulena(Brazilian). The Brazilian steak house bar was amazing. Kelvin was exceptional. He went above and beyond for us so we went to see him every evening just to have some friendly service and drinks that were consistent. Mervyn, Freddie and Paul in Japanese restaurant were outstanding. They made us feel so welcomed and appreciated to be there. We loved being around them. They had wonderful personalities and always smiling. The rest of the staff could take notes from Kelvin, Paul Freddie and Mervyn. The mexican restaurant was very good. Horrible experience at the Italian. Service was extremely horrible as was the food. We ended up leaving. Couldn't eat the food. Couldn't even get our water filled. Upon leaving the blame was on the kitchen staff. No way was that the case other than the food be inedible. We took 7 people on this vacation that had never been to an all inclusive resort. Sad to say they may never go again due to the lack of service and bad food

We went as a group of 11 and from the very start the service was terrible. Starting from the airlines who lost one luggage and broke another. The transfer from the airport to the hotel was ridiculously long. We waited 2 hours on the bus. The resort was clean, beautiful and big which was great. The employees were not very friendly and at times very rude. The restaurant reservations was a joke, on average 1 hour wait. We even had a wait to get into a buffet. The beds were terrible, hard as a rock. The bathroom was very strangely done. We had a family of 3 and it made showering and going to the bathroom complicated because of the glass wall. Also the inside of the shower didn't have a door so it remained as a pool. The food was mediocre compared to other resorts we've stayed at. The best part of the trip was the beach. Punta Cana has great beaches and we love it there but this resort missed the mark.
Amazing grounds (4 resorts in one). Amazing staff and food. Pools are abundant and there was always a chair available (however going early is best practice). My very first all inclusive and trip out of the states; I'd do it again tomorrow!
My experience in Punta Cana Grand palladium Palace
We saw the Apple representative once in a week. We were minus a room a apon when we arrived. It took 2 days for my sister to get a room near me and they could not tell us when it would happen. The apple rep didn't do anything to help with this. Just to name a few things.
We had asked for three rooms together on the ground floor and they were not able to accommodate either of those requests. Very confusing on making reservations at the restaurants they said you couldn't make reservations but if you had the hotel app you could make reservations. Very confusing. The thing we enjoyed was the high level of entertainment that was provided nightly with the two shows at the theatres. The staff was talented. We were impressed with the Pop group at the resort, especially Gasolina and Blue. They went above and beyond to accommodate the us at the shows both at the pool area and theatre area.

What a beautiful and amazing place to spend 8 days & 7 nights the resort was beautifully maintained the spa was amazing and the food was great. This place also have a casino, sports bar and shopping, you don't have to leave if you don't want
the staff are extremely rude towards brits, finding dead flys in my so called "al acarte" food! Always being served cold food and when asking staff if they could warm it up we just got ignored. Found ourselves cueing for resturants when spanish would just walk right in and get seated before us. The food wasnt the only disapointment as the pool the disgusting full of leafs and bird poo and some woman even pulling a dead bird from the water which was left there all day by staff.
our room was really nice and kept clean each day by the maids. the bath was a pain as u had to get in it to run the taps and when having a shower the water would leak out all over the appartment haha
on our arrival there was 3 different building sites underway which we was never told about and also 2 of the restaurants were also closed. make sure you ask your travel provider
I don't understand the 5* rating this place has got. When based on food and service it would get a 2 at the most from me.
i would never return to this hotel, very disapointing and every other brit we met had the same opinion on the way they were treated by staff

Was here July-Aug with a friend and we had a great time! We arrived somewhat late (11pm or midnight) on our first day, but were kindly greeted, checked-in, and given all necessary details of the hotel. This resort was incredibly quiet for the most part; however, it also didn't feel deserted or empty at the same time. Lots of happy people staying there, but was never too loud or crazy, which was awesome! Great place to relax in peace when needed and also party at the pool when needed. I was very impressed. My guess is that it is due to the size of the resort, the number of pools, etc. The bars were all excellent! Wide range of drinks and excellent service. Big shout out to Clara at the Palace pool, who knew me by the end of the trip and always had fresh drinks ready to go! Lobby bars are open until at least midnight or 1am with live music, which was excellent! The food was absolutely outstanding, especially in the a la carte restaurants. In order of best to worst I would say Brazilian, Italian, Indian, Mexican, and the Steakhouse. And this is not to say that Mexican and the Steakhouse were not good - they were still incredible! Just had a lot to compare to with the other outstanding restaurants. The buffets had an enormous selection that varied each day, but also had some consistent dishes. They also had numerous "made to order" stations at the buffets (steak/other meats, seafood, omelets for breakfast, etc.). The only downside to the buffets was that the service there was a little slow at times (waiters/waitresses refill water/drinks, take away dirty dishes, etc.). Definitely no major issues though! The service elsewhere was excellent! Pool staff was very entertaining and had lots of daily events at the pool and on the beach! Cleaning staff was excellent as well, although we did not interact with them personally very much. Representatives for excursions were right in the hotel lobby which made it easy to book day trips, although we only did one. The only real complaint I had was with the ATM at the resort. There was only one ATM in the resort, which is located on the far opposite side of the Palace (where we were staying). It was out of money on 3 or 4 of the days we were there, which was frustrating, as it made it hard to go shopping at the small shops outside the resort that did not accept cards. However, after 3-4 days of not having money, I informed the front desk. She called another employee who took us on a golf cart to the "employee only" section of the resort which had a functioning ATM with cash inside. I was happy to see that they went above and beyond to make sure we could get cash, after a frustrating situation with the public ATM. Overall, an excellent vacation, only very minor issues which were resolved quickly and with great care. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxury-feeling hotel without the luxury price tag. Hope to return again!
best location. clean and luxurious setting. amazing food and drinks. it was our first time in carribean/dominic republic. unfortunately our trip was on the same dates as the hurricane itma but surprisingly it did not touch dominic republic. we had nearly sunny day every day definitely would come back
Very nice place
The hotel and the garden is beautiful. The beach is very nice and clean. The beach is perfect for the kids. The water is warm. The Kids Club is lovely and the people are very sweet. They have shuttles and a lot of restaurants and bars. We loved the place and had a very nice time there.
