Best hotel on the beach
Great Service-Great Location
Coco La Palm
Top Notch Resort-2ND Stay
Hotel is ok, food way over priced, service extremely slow. Staff try to be nice and helpful, but something is missing!!!!I didn't feel home when I was their!!!
I enjoyed loved the staff but there is no Micowaves tissues or a clock these things we are use to when travelingT hey are family away from home.
"Deluxe" room near parking lot?
We found the restaurant staff very enjoyable and the breakfasts were quite good. The security staff was very competent and maid service was good. The beach is well maintained and there seemed to be adequate chairs and towels. My major complaint was the location of our room. It bordered the parking lot and the road noise at night provided continuous disruption and the client and staff traffic along the sidewalk near the room during the day resulted in very little privacy. We requested a room change on Sunday when the Apple Rep. was in the lobby and were first told that a different room would be available on Tuesday, but we would have to talk with the manager on Monday morning. The manager informed us that there were no rooms available, thus no change. The manager was quite unsympathetic. If that room is considered "deluxe" the resort needs to reassess this rating and Apple Vacations should insist that Apple clients not get this room. Room 213 is not deluxe.
CocoLaPalm - great hotel
This was my 2nd trip to CocoLaPalm. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I like this hotel because it's a small, intimate hotel where I feel comfortable and the beach is only a few steps away.

Loved the staff, loved the food and loved the location. The rooms were always clean. Best non all inclusive on the island. Most hotels were inclusive this one gives you the flexibility and great for families! Right on the beach.
First visit to Negril and CocoLaPalm and hopefully not our last! Excellent small beachfront hotel. Top notch, professional and friendly service from all hotel and restaurant staff. Spacious, clean room with a very comfortable king size bed. Tasty food and delicious drinks from both the onsite restaurant and bar. Happy hour rocks! Gorgeous grounds and best of all, a BEAUTIFUL beach! One small word of caution, if you notice anything in your room that is broken or missing, report it immediately to front desk. We had a broken bedside lamp noticed upon entering our room, which we did not report, as we were not bothered by it and it still functioned. It must have been reported later by housekeeping (rightfully so) and we were asked to see a manager at our convenience. When my husband did so, he was questioned about the lamp in a somewhat accusatory manner. In the end, nothing came of it, except that my husband felt scolded and that perhaps management did not entirely believe him when he said the lamp was already broken when we checked into our room. This really was our one and only complaint and certainly would not stop us from returning to this fantastic hotel. We stayed in room 924, which is on the third floor of the newer building. Great room but would love to try an ocean view room with our next visit! Did a sunset catamaran tour with Red Stripe Catamaran, which I highly recommend, but be sure to barter down the price. We paid $60 US pp, whilst others we met on the tour paid anywhere from $45 to $50 US pp. Overall, an AMAZING and unforgettable vacation.
trip to CocolaPalm
This was a very nice stay in Negril, been going to Negril for over 30 years. It was clean, very nice staff, good breakfast, nice pools and right on the ocean. Size of room perfect, came with frig and kitchenette, coffeemaker. Convenient to downtown by taxi - near to many sites
Good hotel, no frills.
Overall, our stay was really good. The room was very clean (we always track sand in). The bedding and linens do need an upgrade soon, it was a bit lumpy, albeit still fairly comfortable. We appreciated that there was a fridge in the room, it kept our beverages super cold (great for the liquor).
The beach was amazing. The sand isn't as soft as I had imagined, but the clear, beautiful waters made up for it. The beach was clean as well. Their restaurants are only good for breakfast and lunch, dinner was always a miss. Room service is the best!
Week at CocoLaPalm
We arrived at CocoLaPalm on a Saturday and it rained all day Saturday and Sunday. We were starting to worry about having rain all week but by Monday morning it had cleared beautifully. The beach is so nice and you don't need beach shoes because it is a sandy beach and there are no rocks in the water. There is plenty of shade at the resort so you don't have to worry about having to lay out in the direct sun all day. We just moved our chairs a few feet every few hours and relaxed and did nothing. The restaurant has a wonderful breakfast every morning and since they give you a free continental breakfast you can order anything on the menu and they will deduct $5 for the continental breakfast you are entitled to. I really have to recommend the breakfast sandwiches but unless you are a big eater you won't be able to finish it all. I actually had the second half of my sandwich the following day for lunch. They also have a beach bar and grill where you can order sandwiches, pizza, fish & chips, etc. The pizza was decent but I had the jerk chicken pizza and it wasn't very spicy. I probably should have tried something else. The dinner restaurant was also very good. I see where some said it was inconsistent but everything I had at dinner was wonderful. The only thing that could have made this trip better was if I could have gotten some hard cider somewhere. They did not know what this was at the resort and I went to grocery stores (HiLo) and some convenience shops and no one knew of this. I did hear I could get it in Montego Bay so next time I will buy my own and bring it with me. We will definitely be back at CocoLaPalm and I will make sure I schedule a visit during lobster season. They don't have lobster May - July due to this being their mating season.
