I will keep this short, just want to add another positive review for a well deserving property. This was our second time at CCLP. The first trip was almost the exact same week, two years later. I had sent a room request, we were hoping to have the exact same room as the first trip. The response I received was, we will try, but when you book through a third party, they have limited ability to honor request. We that said, we ended up in the same room, Junior Suite 526. This room is awesome! Although you have no covered outside area, the deck has a spectacular view of the beach/Ocean! The room has plenty of space and the two person shower was a plus. Be advised though, the AC does nothing for the bathroom! The hotel itself is gorgeous! The grounds are well manicured and they work tirelessly to keep it that way. Their are two pools and a hot tub. One of the pools is adults only, the other is family friendly. Both pools are well maintained and very clean. The adults only pool has a great view of the ocean. The hot tub is hot...not just cool water that bubbles. Your room includes a continental breakfast. If you choose something else, you receive a $5 credit per person towards the higher priced breakfast. Banana bread and juice are included as well. The banana bread is awesome! In addition to the breakfast and dinner restaurant, they have a beach bar open during the day. The beach bar has a surprisingly deep menu. There are many options and their fish and chips were some of the best we have ever had! The beach is spectacular! Calm, Clear water and CCLP is positioned smack dab in the middle of Long Bay. We woke up each morning and the main questions was, left or right? Either way was a great walk with plenty of restaurants, bars, merchandise stands, etc. The vendors do become a little annoying, but generally a simple "no thank you" worked fine. If they got more aggressive, we just became a little more aggressive with the "no"! We never felt threatened, but I have to admit, our one walk down the beach well after dark was much more comfortable with it being four of us. So, our second trip and vacation #2 of this adventure was just awesome and went off without a hitch. Then the fun began.... Just as we were about to get into Montego Bay for our flight home, we were notified by Southwest that our flight was cancelled. Apparently, there was a lightning strike that took out radar over all of Jamaica. I had the transfer driver pull over so I could get out of the van and make the phone call to Southwest. I called, and was told that they could not get us out until September 14th! This was the 9th! I was like...What????? We continued to the airport, we figured this was our best chance to get a flight back out. Unfortunately when we arrived, we were told about the radar issue and the reality of being stuck in Jamaica for 5 extra nights started to settle in. It was at that point that we made the biggest mistake of the trip.... we booked two nights at the Holiday Inn in Montego Bay. If I get a chance to write a review about the Holiday Inn, I will. It will be hard for me to find time to waste however. The one thing you need to know is, DON'T STAY AT THE HOLIDAY INN IN MONTEGO BAY! My wife was still in contact with some people that we had met at CCLP. Thank Goodness they mentioned that CCLP was offering discounted rates for those that were stuck in Jamaica due to the radar issue. Once my wife told me that, I called to confirm. One of the couples that we had met at CCLP the first week were at the Holiday Inn as well. We all talked and agreed that we had to leave the Holiday Inn asap and head back to CCLP. At 8 am the following day, one of Joe Cool's drivers was there to "rescue" us. We happily rode back to CCLP and had a wonderful 4 more nights!! This is the part of our trip we refer to as Vacation #3. This was the first time we did a pre vacation. We stopped in Fort Lauderdale for 3 nights before we came to Negril. It figures that the extra nights would happen on a trip we already added nights too! This was my first two week vacation and we loved every minute! I want to give CCLP a sincere thank you! We truly appreciated the hospitality as much as the discounted rate. Plans are already in motion for a return trip during the same week of 2018. If someone at CCLP is reading this... just jot our name down for room 526!

I have nothing negative to say about this resort. Check in was unusually slow but staff was so courteous and kind. Food was awesome, drinks were cold and just kept coming. The beach is fantastic with chair service. There are a lot of venders on the beach. I was traveling alone so they became annoying. Security kept a watchful eye on me so it was all good. I swam and the water is great. Michelle at the beach bar is incredible at her job and much respect to her! Rooms were clean and quite large. I had a car so toured around Negril- lots to see & do!

We stayed in a standard room that needs to be updated but was fine for us. We spent most of our time on the beach which is beautiful right in the center of seven mile beach. Plenty of shade or sun whichever you prefer. Daily rounds by the patty man on his bicycle. Good food and service at Marleys. Plenty of places to eat or pick up food or drinks within walking distance.

My husband and I stayed here for a 1wk vacation. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and seemed newly renovated. Large walk in shower, hairdryer and plenty of towels provided. Toiletries consisted of aloe Vera gel and standard bar soap. There was liquid shampoo and shower gel in the shower (think of a gym locker room) that I thankfully didn't have to use. Seemed cheap. Maid service was excellent. Fridge, ice bucket, coffee maker, coffee and TV in room. AC worked WONDERFULLY! Screened window opened as well. Iron board and iron in room too. The beach was well maintained, beach towels and paddle boards provided. Plenty of seating and wood tables on beach. The restaurant bar was perfect for the included continental breakfast. Breads, fruit, juice coffee. However, if you like a large breakfast I'd recommend upgrading. The pools were fairly large and clean. (1 adult only, 1 kids allowed) The hot tub looked inviting but we never made it in. Pool stays open till 11pm. The hotel grounds were well maintained. There is a gift shop with perhaps forgotten essentials inside. On site massage too (beach or indoor) nothing fancy. A dive restaurant (Best In The West) is located just across the street with EXCELLENT food. Time square shopping mall is a 20min sidewalk walk away. My one gripe would be that the beach bar does not open until 11am. Meaning I took my business of ordering cold beers and fruit smoothies next door at Idle Awhile. Located seconds away from my beach chair it seemed the only logical thing to do. Coco La Palm is the one loosing out on business. My husband and I got a deal for less then 100.00 US a night. It's to my understanding room rates increase greatly during high season. The room in my opinion should not cost more the 120.00 US a night. Overall enjoyed my stay greatly.

Totally enjoyed my 4 night stay at this tropical landscaped non-all-inclusive resort. Located along the middle of 7-mile beach. It has lots of beachfront chairs/loungers, beach bar, shaded beachfront seating areas. Beach & resort front entry security. The room had a safe/refrigerator/wifi. A continental breakfast is included; $5 for full delicious breakfast. Lots of eating places nearby; the islands best Jerk directly across the road, at Best in the West. And Coletta's for a great homestyle breakfast. Also for nightlife; the Jungle and Boardwalk Village. This is what I paid by hailing a taxi: $USD4-$5 for private taxi along the beach road. $J130 for route taxi along the beach road. $USD8-$10 for private taxi to the Cliffs/West End. $J260 for route taxi to the Cliffs/West End The staff & service was excellent. Check-out is 12Noon. I would definitely stay here again.
