Apple needs to Re-Evaluate this Hotel
This hotel is rated to high with apple. Apple needs to put in the descriptions about the Lite version of being minimal at best. You are bottom of the barrel if you are lite. We ended up with 2 twin beds pushed together and not a king. They stated since we were lite that we don't get a king. The ceiling had a water leak and we woke up to a wet floor our first night. The elevator button on the 1st floor was broke going up so you couldn't go up. One of the 2 elevators was out of service the first 2 days we were there. There are really no bars there to just walk up and get a drink and sit around. Most of the bars were the swim up bars. The food was good although being LITE we only had access to a few restaurants. The bar staff and food staff was great though. There really isn't much for entertainment and what little there is they want to charge for it. All other resorts we have visited seem to have nightly and daily entertainment included.
Not Up To Apple Standards
The place had multiple leaks, the staff was friendly, but the check in staff was very rude and lied to us about why they needed a copy of our passport. Instead of taking care of the leaks the staff would just put towels down and place wet floor signs.
Stay away from this hotel poor service, we were put in a building that was closed and under construction not what we asked for at all the water does not drain properly, the rooms are filthy,no hair dryer or iron they charge for wifi and the safe box from ur room and if something gets stolen because it's not in the safe box they are not responsible🤔Really 😡Not cool this hotel is the worst I have ever been to starting with the poor service at check in over 2 hrs to top that the rooms aren't even ready when they say and to get your key after check in it's another 60 min. You are on ur own for any problems because there in no manager u can talk to to solve ur problem I had the worst stay of my life NEVER W
Will I go to that horrible nasty hotel!
Made reservations at Paraiso Maya, upon arrival we were upgraded to the Grand! Service was absolutely unbelievable!!!! Highly recommended
It was a great trip. Apple Vacations did a great job at providing us with everything we needed. the hotel and ocean was great also. definitely well worth the money and will do it again, as long as its with Apple Vacations.
No dressers in your rooms made living out my suitcase for 7 nights became extremely anoying. On the 2nd day the house keeping woman left the floor wet where I slipped and fell, and fingers on each hand are still swolen today. The food was terrible. 4 out of the 7 nights I left the resort for dinner. Including on my 50th birthday. I stated at check in that I was here for my 50th birthday, hoping for a time I'll never forget. Since I'll ony have one 50th birthday. I didn't remember I mentioned that until the day before I left I heard someone being sung happy birthday to at their hotel room doo on the morning of the 8th. How nice I thought, wish that could've been done for me 2 days ago on my birthday. The only thing I truly liked was the beach.
Two classes of service.
The problem with the Oasis Cancun Lite is that it seems to be the stepchild of the main hotel. Unfortunately the staff at one hotel didn't seem to know what the left hand was doing. For instance. When I asked where I could print my boarding passes at the Lite desk, they sent me to the main pyramid desk. When I got there the person at the desk basically said well you should have went to the concierge at Lite. Then he proceeded very sarcastically to say well you have 2 options--you can stay here and wait for others to get off the computers or you can go back to the concierge at Lite. When I asked hey why did they send me 1/4 mile here in the first place. He just looked at me and said well sir you have two options quite sarcastically. By the way gthe concierge at the Lite was not in the lobby area but somewhere down a long hallway at the end of a string of guest rooms-- really in the middle of nowhere and hard to find. I guess that was my firt clue that guest services were not a priority. To be fair the concierge was very helpful though--when you did find him. The maids and other staff seemed very nice and helpful. Upon checkout I was told to check out at the main desk at the pyramid because the Lite desk wouldn't be open at 5A.M.--again second class citizens I guess. When I checked out I was told that also airport pickup was also at the pyramid and not Lite lobbies. I protested that I'd already walked a quarter mile to the main lobby and had to walk 1/4 mile back again and I wasn't going to lug 3 suitcase another quarter mile back. I have a bad back and that just wasn't going to happen. Again if you stayed at the Cancun Lite area it seems you got second class service. I prevailed on the desk to tell the airport transport to pick me up at the Lite lobby. Many aspects of the hotel were very good but it was quite apparent that Oasis Cancun Lite was second fiddle yo the main hotel. It seemed like they were running two different classes of service and two different hotels. And one hotel didn't seem to know what the other was doing. In short I felt like I was a second class guest and would not stay at the hotel again.
The resort grounds are gorgeous and well maintained! But, we were placed in a wing where there were renovations going on, despite having made our reservation 3 months in advance. Despite many pleas the staff refused to move us to another building. We woke up and went to sleep with the sound of hammers and drills. This building also seemed to be where all of the large groups were housed - and most were 18-20 year olds. They partied outside our door until 4:00 a.m, screamed and ran up and down the halls. I was with my family for a Thanksgiving holiday and would've prefered being in a "family friendly" environment.
There was no water pressure in the shower. The room smelled like paint fumes from the repairs going on in the next room. The food wasn't very good. Staff was friendly, and the pool was great.
A large staff were working all the time on our eleeping area:painting, reparing walls, wires ,sterways elevators etc . the whole week it was very anoying.
Grand Oasis Cancun is bad..Trust the Reviews Don't do it. Can't Believe Apple would recommend

Beautiful resort but get what you pay for...we were prepared so loved it!
We paid for Oasis-Plus privileges which included free wifi and room safes (but you had to ask). There was also a private concierge desk in the main lobby as well as one on the fifth floor of our building which was quite convenient. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. Overall the staff was quite friendly and accommodating. There were lots of restaurants, shows and things to do. As is our usual experience with an all inclusive Mexican resort, the food is rather dull and the drinks are bottom shelf. That being said, we expected it and were there to party and celebrate my son's graduation. The Ocean Club created a fun party atmosphere with music and games during the day. The swim up bar was always full but we never waited long. The Tapas, Italian and Steakhouse restaurants provided different options to the buffet which tended to be bland. The Cigar Bar, Kinky Club, Casino and Havana's provided extra places to wander for entertainment and Coyote Loco was a blast for old and young alike (if you like to be a bit wild). The rooms were clean but some in our group had minor issues. All tend to be rather loud so I wouldn't recommend to anyone with young children or who is seeking a "relaxing" atmosphere. Overall we expected and were pleased with our price and choice for this occasion. I wouldn't return but would recommend for those celebrating a similar occasion or traveling with a large "party" group.
Scenic resort with beautiful view of the ocean...
We traveled with a group of 14 people to celebrate a family members graduation. The transportation from the airport was prompt and the host made it fun. Check-in was a little long but we were taken to a private check-in area and were assigned 2 check-in agents. We were able to get into our room around the designated check-in time. Our room was fine, clean and well kept. The mini fridge was not working the whole time, we did have problems with our toilet (we called twice they came twice and fixed it) the third time we gave up and dealt with it. Our room location was nice looking out to the pool area. The staff overall was friendly and polite. The drinks were...well you get what you pay for. The beach access was quite difficult to find (should have better access). The buffets were not very good but we found that the Italian restaurant, Tapas and Steak house were ok for dinner. Loved Ibiza for lunch...and Hippie Café. Would have been great to get really authentic Mexican food...but that didn't happen. The nightlife was good with choices of venues. Love the Kinky Club and Havana Night Club. Coyote was wild and young but fun. Others in our group did not have the nicest rooms. Showers continually ran, leaking faucets, toilets not working and air conditioning that could not hold a temperature. We also had someone that had money stolen from their room. We would have liked to go to some of the Black band restaurants/bars and paid for the meals/drinks since they were never busy...but were told we couldn't. Overall for the price we paid it was a fun vacation (that was mostly due to the company we were with). I would not return to this resort...my advice to the resort would be to improve food choices, beach access, general maintenance on rooms, also have a specific money exchange counter in the resort.
All inclusive, food was good not great ,all you can drink means all you can drink great service at all bars and restaurants
Tours were organized well and good advice given
Beach was beautiful, clean and well serviced by staff
This is the worst hotel in life
This hotel in the past was nice, well-kept, the staff attentive and allowed to enjoy the Caribbean. But, the time is clicking and the hotel is old. The staff is rude. There is no attention at reception. The rooms are old, rusty, bathroom services do not work. The water that comes out of the shower smells so bad.
The pools have garbage floating not in poor condition but it is not clean.
Avoid this hotel.
Came here with some girlfriends and I was impressed by how big this place is. I'll try to bream this up into sections
Food: TONS of restaurants even if you don't have thr black wristband. Food was ok… depends on where you go. Italian restaurant was SO GOOD the pasta was great, pizza - meh. The steakhouse was cool. It was like Copacabana where they bring the meat to your table. Had a bad experience with the Mexican restaurant. It was supossed to open at 12. We waited outside for them to finally open, after 15 mins of waiting and a long line forming I finally went inside to find they were JUST STARTING to set up the tables and they needed 20 more mins. Opening your restaurant 40 mins after the time your supossed to open is ridiculous. Obviously we didnt wait and never went back there. Ibiza the seafood restaurant by the pool was good as well. We did breakfast at both the buffets and they were pretry much the same. Snack bars had nachos, tacos, hot dogs, burgers or chicken wings. All in all I'd say the food wasnt AMAZING but you wont go hungry. Theres always something to eat
Room: like I said this place is BIG. Next time I come I'd choose the 1000 or 2000 buildings. we were in the 4000 building and its a walk to get to the pool, the lobby, the club, or even just where anything is going on. Omg so much walking. Maid came everyday to clean the room. Filled the fridge with coke, water and heineken everyday. DO NOT lose your safe key as its $120US to replace!
Club: the coyote club on the resort is… ehhhh like any other resort club. People dont stay here. Its more of a meeting area to predrink and link up with everyone before you leave and go to the real clubs. Most people went downtown to party. There are staff on the resort that sell you packages for clubs everyday. They'll tell you which clubs are bumping and on which night. The package will include transportation there, entry and an all you can drink wristband.
Wristbands: this whole thing with the blue, purple, and black wristbands omg. Personally, I dont think its worth it to upgrade. I read the reviews and saw that only black wristbands get to go hear and eat there… its not a big deal. There are SO MANY RESTAURANTS on this resort who cares if you can't go to those two. And ive seen the rooms at the pyramid. They look almost the same as ours expect its in a better location(right above the lobby) and the get bathrobes and slippers. Oh, and a full length mirrored closet. Honestly, I expected more. We had the plain old blue wristband and we were fine.
Extras: As with any resort, you gotta wake up at the crack of dawn to get a cabana. I'm talking like 6AM. One morrning I went down at 730 and they were all taken already. Didnt bother buying wifi since it was a rip off. Also, the reception in our room was TERRIBLE I'd have to be so close to our balcony to catch a signal. So maybe it might be worth it to purchase the wifi but we just used our data. Drinks were NOT watered down at all but they did use cheap liqour. Theres a bar near the streakhouse that serves premium liqpur tho, I was able to get some captain morgan there.
Negatives: the biggest thing is the bars. Theres no bars on the beach. And there are 2 pool bars but its so far to get a drink if u dont want to get in the pool. There were times we had to get in the pool to get a drink… or get someone in the pool to go get us a drink lol. Buy a big cup from the dollar store before you come and just get them to fill that up for u otherwise ur going to be getting in amd out the pool all day to get drinks. On the very last day I found out that the ibiza restaurant by the pool had cosmopolitans, mimosas and sangrias smh but you have to be fully clothed to go in and its a sit down restaurant so the drinks are for the people eating. It just doesn't make sense. You either have to go in the pool or sit down for a meal to have a drink near the pool. I just tipped the waitress and got her to make me drinks and bring them to me by the pool. I suggest you do that or you'll have to walk to the otherside of the resort to that bar
Would I go back? YES! I had a great time and a lot of young people come there. There so a lot of parties there during the week as well. There was a foam party and a paint party. A lot of the people we met down there said theyve been there 3 or 4 times… but I will admit that most people said this resort has changed for the worst. Apparently they used to have more parties and they'd play music by the pool. But now theyve built this whole beach club thing and seem to be more focused on that. I didnt really care… I brought a Bluetooth speaker anyways. But a lot of people said the vibe was different. I'd still go back!
