Property was beautiful. Staff was very friendly, helpful, courteous and professional.
Hotel Casamagna Marriott
The ratings on the Internet are correct in that this hotel is professionally run, and well maintained hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. The hotel food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Argentinian restaurant. The hotel staff answered any questions we had. We never had to worry about a thing.

Excellent service, excellent location
Of course, almost every hotel in the hotel zone has the same beach and the same waves. However, the layout of the lobby and the access to the beach and pool areas is a little bit special. If you can, pick an ocean front (not ocean view) room. You will remember the sound of the waves long after you return from your vacation. We liked the fact that there was a convenience store right opposite the hotel and a fully stocked pharmacy as well (my wife needed a med while she was there and if was extremely convenient).
As for dining, we tried everything in there. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with fresh fruits and juices (my favorite part). The thai restaurant was above average (considering we were in mexico), and the Sports bar was actually really good (both food wise and service wise).
We also tried the sports bar and the italian restaurant at the JW (they are connected through a walkway), and while it wasn''t off the charts, it was decent food (and the service was again exceptional)
Great location for a great vacation
Great location that has its own white sand beach with full service availability while you can enjoy the sunshine on the beds.
Great Japanese restaurant.....I didn’t get to enjoy the other ones.
Good gym and facilities in general.
If you are not a heavy breakfast person as I am (who just have eggs and milk) then there is a cafe where you can buy coffee and bagels etc instead of spending on the in-house breakfast.
Flawless first visit to Cancun
Amazing beaches, gorgeous hotel and property, staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and bilingual. When checking into the hotel, we were informed that our room was being upgraded to ocean view, we were given $350 in credit to be used at both Marriott hotels, and 2 welcoming margaritas at the lobby bar free of charge. The restaurants on property are impeccable. We visited Mikado, Gustino, and La Capilla for their breakfast buffet. We even had service poolside and on the beachfront. Location is excellent, anything you would ever need is either a short walk or bus ride away. We found the concierge and doormen extremely helpful when it came to having any questions about where specific places were and getting transportation to those places. I can easily say, that the Marriott Cancun Resort is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in.
Love love this hotel!
After hours of searching for the best place to stay we finally chose this resort as we didn't want the average food and crowds of an all inclusive. Extremely satisfied. At this time of the year it is not crowded at all which was awesome. We had a room on 4th floor with a side view yet great view -see picture- on the pool and ocean. Very confortable clean room with very confortable beds and a great bathroom*loved the shower!* The style inside the hotel is awesome, classy, modern, high scale with a great lobby and spacious bar overlooking the pool (btw very nice pool and hot tub settings). A big thumb up to all servers, maids etc who were all super super nice and helpful. The food served around the pool is really good. The other restaurants are good too except the Thai which has mediocre food(but nice settings). I strongly recommend the seafood restaurant Freds across the hotel. The beach is great but strong currents and some weeds. We had fun in the waves though. My 23 yr old daughter used the fitness and spa and said it was great. If we go back to Cancun we will come back there without a doubt.
I did a lot of research on Cancun / Playa Mujeres hotels and resorts before ultimately deciding to book the Marriott for my 9-day trip. Overall, the Marriott seemed like the best value: reasonable rates, located right on the beach with nearly no seaweed (I had read that other hotels in the area were suffering from major seaweed, which is such a drag), and the Marriott brand name.
I was very satisfied with the resort. First, I'd like to call special attention to and personally thank Alejandra Esteban, Deyse, and the other extremely friendly members of the Pizzeria 750 / gift shop team. The food prices in this take-out restaurant / convenience store were extremely reasonable--I went in most every day to get bottles of water, empanadas for lunch, etc. Each time that I went in, I was really struck by the warm and welcoming attitude of the staff. They were more than happy to help me and were patient with me as I practiced my Spanish, which I really appreciated. On my last night before leaving, I stopped by the shop near closing time to say goodbye to the friends I had made and was totally taken aback (in the best way possible) when Alejandra gave me a card with a lovely note in it from her and the other members of the Pizzeria 750 / gift shop team. I couldn't stop smiling after that interaction--it was so sweet and touching, and truly unique. I have never received that level of care or attention at any other resort I have stayed at, and I really appreciated that special moment!
Beach was absolutely gorgeous--the most beautiful blue water I've ever seen ("unreal" was the first word that came to my mind when I saw it). Plenty of beach chairs and towels. Staff by the pool and beach all friendly and respectful
Resort location was very good--centrally located in the Hotel Zone within walking distance of many great restaurants (Harry's, etc.); I felt comfortable walking to and from restaurants in the evening, as well as taking the bus to restaurants that were a couple of miles away (Trattoria Limoncello)--area was safe
Room was pretty standard for a Marriott; the shower was very nice.
Resort gym is better than most--free weights up to 40 or 50 pounds and numerous machines, including a smith machine for benching, squats, deadlifts, etc. I think this is the first hotel gym I've been in with a smith machine, so that was a major plus. There were also cardio machines
Front desk staff was courteous--they assisted me in a money exchange, which I appreciated. Lobby was fancy and attractive
All in all, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed my time at this resort and would gladly, and absolutely intend to, return for another stay. Thank you!
