The room was too small and too hot. The AC was working overtime all night. The minibar was always stocked and it was included in the all inclusive price. TV, none, it was a flat screen with squiggly lines, no service, we told the attendant the first night, nothing was done. The Service was great. I want to mention 3 guys that made our day, Santiago, Jose (pepe) and Carlos at the First Club location. The service at the Buffett restaurant was exceptional. The food was great, always hot and fresh. The beach was warm, beautiful, but they are having problems with some algae so a couple of days, we did not get in, but that is not the resorts fault, it was all over. The pools were fantastic. Checking in and out was easy and quick. I would go back, I hope they can fix the rooms, make them bigger and fix the air conditioning and the TV reception.

Very relaxing enjoyable vacation, the rooms are clean and the staff more than willing to make your stay as nice as possible. Our room was cleaned to perfection every day with the fridge stocked as well (Great job David!!) The upper rooms have a high, thatched ceiling and makes the room seem very large. The balconies have a hammock and are private. We were in room 5315 and was in the perfect location.

This place is great! Excellent service, good food, really funny entertainers , nice beach area and large pool. I strongly recommend allegro for families with young kids, they have a complete kids club area with a lot of activities for them, in the meanwhile you could enjoy a coffee in their little and cozy coffee bar or a margarita in the pool bar. A good and recommendable place for a Family vacation!
5 star for entertainment team , poor quality hotel and service

I have just came back from mexico , spending 17 nights in this hotel
the hotel is very old, dated, dirty, the room we stayed in had a little fridge with drinks such as pepsi, beer and water filled up every day, which was good, the room was cleaned every day, there was air conditioning which was a must in the very high temperatures, the temp reached 33 degrees some days , there were mosquitos every day , so remember never leave your hotel doors open even for one second, as they will come in uninvited for sure , every morning around 6 o clock there was that cacophony of different birds singing if you can call it like that, it was very disturbing and almost felt like they literally trying to say wake up. it was horrendous, I didn't like it, the hotel outside it was pretty, covered everywhere with a palm trees and other plants , it felt like being in a middle of a amazon jungle, a couple of times i found some different bugs and flies on the hotel room floor which for someone who doesn?t like this kind of extras was not very pleasant,
the food :good selection of food , English breakfast , omelettes made in front of your eyes, milkshakes, very yummy, a good selection of sweet bunes, bread, fruits, cereals, ect
for lunch/dinner:good selection of italian pasta,(Italian guy serving it) meat, fish, vegetables, pizzas, hot dogs, tortilla wraps with either fish or meat and different sauces, ice creams, cakes, coffe,
bar was open all day with any drinks you wanted, came with a child so couldn?t really drink but at the pool the drinks were not very good sometimes as the guys pouring too much of everything in it making it super sweet and disgusting, understandable having hundreds of people coming it every day and working non stop in a 30 degrees heat, but from customer point of view, sometimes undrinkable, the other bar in the restaurant where you went to have your dinner in the evening a bit better but not do great either, as ordering a bloody mary once I thought im going to kick the bucket , too spicy!
The swimming pool very dirty, people eat their food their, drink their cocktails, at the end of a stay i was frustrated and disgusted, specially when there was children around, so its better to go to the beach , the hotel is basically situated on the beach , so not far to go, and its very hard to sunbathe for more than an hour and not go into the water, very hot, the beach again is not very pleasant, lots of seaweeds, but not the hotels fault, water nice and warm most of the times,
The entertainment: is brilliant, the guys really make an effort to make people occupied, there was aqua aerobic every morning in the pool, volleyball, bingo, yoga on the beach, lots of other games during the day with the price rewards , dancing, very nice, the hotel has tennis court, basketball , ping pong table, you don?t need to bring anything, you call borrow all the equipment from the reception, every night at 8.30 there was a disco for kids, with singing dancing and games, very nice, and at 9.30 a show, every day different, amazing, i loved it,
The hotel has kids club open 10-12, 3-5 , you can leave your child there to play and pick up later , or like i did stayed with the child there and play, there was pool, trampoline, slides, and the lovely girl aida, was making an amazing arts and crafts with children every day, twice a day, my daughter loved it, the children can make bracelets, picture frames, paint, origami stars, masks ect .Very very talented girl, making a beautiful things, very impressive,
The hotel has 2 restaurants and buffet, the Italian restaurant has a la carte menu, very nice, food, small portions but very nice, the mexican restaurant the same a la carte menu, but i didn?t go to as i don?t like Mexican food, and the buffet, where we spent most of the days there
The hotel reception, not enough staff, always had to wait, very annoying asking for things and waiting, sometimes calling them twice for the same thing because waiting time was horrendous, not very good service really
During our stay we went to the park called xcharet and chichen itza
The park was amazing, we saw flamingos, parrots, sharks, huge turtles, butterflies, my daughter swam with the dolphins, very expensive around 1500 pesos, but worth it, we swam in the cave , and down the green river, they had orhids place, the horses show, and the main show at 7-9 it was truly amazing,we stayed in the park from 9-10pm
The chichen itza it was very very hot place to be, it was almost impossible to cope for both my daughter and me, you must have sunhat, suncream, they will give you water and umbrella if you book with a tour guy as well as the headphones with a little box, so you can listen to the tour guy while you walk around the place. We managed to walk maybe for an hour with a tour lady explaining everything , but then forced to head back to the entrance as we couldn?t cope with the heat, I was very interested in mayans history so really wanting to go there, but for people who struggle with a high temperature I do not recommend as there is no place to hide from the sun there, then we went to cenotes, another cave, beautiful , and the restaurant called la cocina, very yummy food,
the last thing I have to say, although is not the best hotel ive been to, it is very secure, specially if you go with children, there is lots of cctv cameras installed and security, checking all the time the hotel and pool area, the restaurants ect, so you can be sure you will be safe there which was very important for me, as the mexico outside the hotel is far from a holiday destination
unfortunately you will see that the streets are not that safe and the people leave in a huge poverty, it is very sad to see that with your own eyes, but the mexico has a huge amazing history behind which makes it worth it to travel there,
the weather is very hot, hard to breathe, the humidity is so high, it will leave you soaking wet, while you just make a trip to the restaurant for breakfast and all my things and clothes were humid wet during the stay
and because of that it might not be a cup of tea for everyone, I found it very difficult to stay there over 2 weeks in this kind of weather, there were days when It rained, which left the air a bit more breathable.
the hotel is around 30 minutes walk from the centre so you have to either take a taxi for 100 pesos or walk , it has got place called 5th avenue with lost of high street shops in, there is no wifi in the room nor the hotel, you have to pay around 50 dollars for a week to use it, which is not something I was happy with,
there are shops 2 minutes walk on the left when you come out from the hotel with a Starbucks coffe shop where you can catch the wifi even sitting outside so it was great

The beach was beautiful with a lot of great activities and wonderful service. No better place in Mexico to stay. The rooms were very luxurious and provided a great place to relax after a day at the pool or the beach with at least one hammock outside of the room. The drinks were cold and refreshing and the food was delicious. Never ran out of anything to do
