Apple Vacations Traveller Reviews
Beach is wonderful. Buffett is consistently good. Bocelli was always good. Andres at the Buffett has great service. The pool is too crowded. Not big enough to accommodate the daily moon palace visitors. Not enough chairs by the pool. The swim up bar pool is very very small and has food floating in it. Elevators are too slow. The spa service was very nice. The sky bar and pool is very cool. No shade up there though. View is amazing. Room service was good. The evening shows leave much to be desired. In summary, we loved the beach access and views, but felt the hotel was over crowded and pool too small.
Beach Palace Bore
Beach Palace has beautiful rooms and overall is a clean, nice facility. The resort credits are a total scam, riddled with hidden costs. We felt very duped and did not take any excursions due to cost. The hotels pools started out nice, but were cloudy and needed service by Thursday. The entertainment was really bad. We brought our son, and by the end of the week, we were bored. If it rains, or you don't take excursions, this is a very boring hotel. They do not have Apple TVs in the room like their website says. They also do not have shuttles between resorts as their website stated. One shuttle each day at 11 and back at 5 to Moon Palace only. We felt like overall, Beach Palace was overpriced and over-hyped for what we received. Also, the Apple rep is NEVER there. We arrived on Sunday and didn't see the Apple guy until Wednesday evening. He seemed unsympathetic about our resort credit issue or other complaints.
Stayed Apr 7-10
Let me start of saying this is a nice hotel, but not for the price we paid. We paid for concerige upgraded room and all we got was a special VIP area at the beach and a nice view of the beach. We had to call the first night to get our room cleaned. It was 5pm and nobody had been by yet. We had to constantly call for more towels and they keep everything in a desperate building so it takes at least 30mins to get there. We called for an iron that took a while to get only to find out it was broken. The buffet was ok, nothing to brag about. After 2 days of eating it, you will want something else. Oh, and you may to bring your own bottled water. We thought we were getting bottled water in the buffet area only to discover staff filling the water bottles with tap water.
Service, Staff, Location, Beach, Pool, Food & Spa were great!!
We just got home from staying at Beach Palace. I would like to start what we liked most about the hotel and say that we would return. The service was great! Victor who was our pool server was awesome all week! Phillepa our pool bartender was always great and right on top of our needs. We ate at La Terrrasa the first night and met Edwardo. He was so wonderful we went back a few times. The last night we asked to sit at his table but he was reassigned. He heard that we had asked for him and he bought our family a plate of deserts and said that he was sorry to have missed us. Francisco who also worked at the same was great as well! The ocean view and the beach were beautiful! The pools were great and the swim up bar was perfect. We took a spa treatments and was wonderful as well. The Buffet and the outside steak restaurant were our Favs. We heard great reviews of the Italian and the oriental restaurant but was just not for us. The roof top pools and bar were wonderful as well and gorgeous views of the ocean, sunrise and sunset! There were some great activities at the hotel and we did hit some night life outside of the hotel which was a great time. Again, if return to Cancun we would come back to Beach Palace...!!!
Crowded Cancun Resort with beautiful beach.
Although the beach and weather during our stay was gorgeous, the fact that our resort brought in bus loads of additional guests from other resorts on a daily basis, made our experience cramped, crowded and not as relaxing as hoped.
GREAT hotel! Current decor and amenities. Fantastic location. Excellent service. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel.
Overall the hotel was fine, though it was very noisy in the morning usually beginning about 7:30. Cleaning staff would begin cleaning rooms and the walls were extremely thin so you heard everything in the hallway as well as the room next door. The food was good but limited if you didn't bring appropriate clothes for the one place. With only 4 choices it is unfortunate to have a different dress code for the one place.
Great experience! This was our first all inclusive vacatio and it was what we expected it to be. Thank you!!
Excellent customer service
We felt like we were at a 5 star hotel. The employees were wonderful and were continually asking to help us. The resort credit was easy to use. Overall the food was great. The buffet was a bit boring as they served the same food at lunch and dinner. But the quality was good. The restaurants were also delicious. The pool bar served excellent drinks with namebrand alcohol and it was not skimpy. Loved it and had a blast!
Beach Palace Cancun
This all inclusive resort was fantastic. It is a perfect size, not too small but not to big, for either families, couples, or groups. I was most impressed with the staff and service. Everyone, from the maids to the waiters to the bell boys, had such a friendly, helpful, and welcoming attitude. They were more than accommodating, and their phrase of choice is "my pleasure." This resort gives you credits to use for excursions, shopping, or upgrades. We use ours for excursions and had some great experiences outside of our resort. The restaurants, bars, and room service were fantastic and had a nice variety, and the swimming pools and beach were very relaxing and absolutely beautiful. Finally, the resort had great night entertainment which was nice in addition to its great location. It's very close to multiple malls and the area with all the great bars and clubs. This a fantastic resort and really made our vacation smooth, relaxing, and a great experience!
Beach Palace is great but only because they have FABULOUS employees
I went on this trip with my 18 year old daughter and her 18 year old friend and her friend's Mom. My travel agent booked two rooms through Apple Vacations - one for me and my daughter and the other for my daughter's friend and her Mom. My travel agent booked (back in Sept. 2012 for the March 30, 2013 trip)us and the other family an ocean front room with two beds in each room and requested rooms on the same floor since we were going to let the two 18 year olds share a room and the other mother and I were going to share the other room. My travel agent requested two beds in each room and the rooms on the same floor when she booked the trip and also called the week of arrival to insure they had our request of two beds in each room and rooms on the same floor. My travel agent said they start assigning rooms the week of arrival. When we checked in, we were told they were sold out and couldn't give us rooms on the same floor - we were given one room on the 10th floor and the other room on the 2nd floor - I was not happy about this but the check in employees there was nothing they could do. So when we got to out room, there was only one king bed in each room - I thought I was going to have a heart attack!!!! I went to the front desk and the guy said he was sending another bed to each room - they were rollaway beds - small and uncomfortable. My travel agent tried to help us but neither Apple nor Beach Hotel did anything. We did have a great time at the Beach Palace but only because their employees are so kind, happy and service oriented. If I do return to this hotel, I will NOT use Apple Vacations again - a gentleman from Apple called the second night I was there and did nothing to help me but said his supervisor Josalina would call the next day to help us or offer some type of compensation. However, I NEVER got a call from Josalina and I kept checking the hotel room phone for messages. I'd say apple vacations failed BIG TIME with this reservation and I have used Apple Vacations for at least three trips in the last five years via the same travel agent. I can't say enough good about the employees at Beach Palace - they treat you very well.

The pools, beach, food, bars, and spa were all great! We got a good price and I was afraid it was only going to be mediocre, but I was really happy with the entire stay. Our 7 year old son loved the pools, and we loved sitting at the swim up bar with food and drinks :)
Still a Great Resort BUT.....
We first visited Beach Palace in April 2017 with our daughter, her husband, and two granddaughters. We had a Presidential Suite and all was fantastic. My wife and I decided to go back this April but had a standard room. I first want to say that this resort is beautiful, super clean, first-class all the way, incredible beach but most importantly the staff. Every employee is so nice, welcoming, super polite, caring, absolutely the best. However, our stay just wasn’t the same as a year ago. First of all, when you arrive you are strongly encouraged to arrange a meeting with a salesperson who wants to sell you a Palace membership (basically a time share). We went through this a year ago and declined then. For this trip we were up at 2 in the morning to get to the airport for a 6:15 flight. After a 4 hour flight and security, bags, etc. all we want to do is check-in, eat, and rest, not listen to a sales pitch. Our room wasn’t ready which we understood being a morning arrival. The member who booked us had made an error on the original booking and forgot to request an Oceanview room. However, he subsequently phoned Beach Palace to correct this and also was there in person in Feb and spoke to the front desk and reconfirmed that we would have an Oceanview room. After all that we ended up with a Lagoonview room. The rooms are beautiful but with not having a Presidential Suite we quickly learned the walls are paper thin. We had the noisiest neighbours ever. We could hear every discussion, TV, etc. They were obviously sick too as they coughed 24/7! Lastly, the pillows are brutal as they have no firmness to them at all. We love sitting around & swimming in resort pools. Unfortunately the pools were freezing cold, you couldn’t enjoy a swim unless you were in a Polar Club. We complained to the hotel and know that many others did also. In a few days the pools mysteriously warmed up so had this for the last 3 days. We were disappointed in all the meals that involved beef. We love steak but all the beef, except burgers, were so tough they weren’t enjoyable. My wife has sea bass one night and could barely eat it. Generally we were disappointed with the menu choices. Terrific waiters though! The Asian restaurant is great though, as is the breakfast buffet. We believe the resort needs another restaurant as options are limited. Our biggest mistake was going to a family resort. Last year we had our own grandchildren and it was great. This year as a couple we went crazy with the number of kids. We simply didn’t expect so many kids with school still on.
So, Beach Palace is a first-class place to go, best people, best beach, clean and beautiful. This trip just didn’t work for us like our first one. We still highly recommend this resort.
This year's April vacation marked our 4th visit to Beach Palace Resort. Can't beat the view of the ocean from our room, clean rooms courtesy of the housekeeping staff, daily re-stocking of snacks and bar supplies, beautiful white sand beach and the friendliness of the always smiling staff. Some of which now seem like old friends. Along with the beautiful Cancun weather all of these things make for a great vacation and are the reason we continue to return.
This year I feel compelled to comment on a couple of additional items. One of the reasons we come to Beach Palace is because it is a smaller resort where everything is easy to access and the service is more personal. Staff are committed to their smaller community of guests and everyone feels special. However, this year we seemed to see a much greater number of folks being brought in from Moon Palace. The additional guests made a difference on the beach. It meant beach service was slower (not that the staff weren't working hard to look after everyone) and chairs on some days were harder to find. It made things more crowded and the loyal Beach Palace guests paid the price.
Some days it appears that Palace Resorts is focused on more revenue generating guests for weddings and group bookings. I realize that is a harsh statement but here are my reasons for saying so. Loungers are removed from the VIP Area in order to write out special messages to those guests celebrating birthdays, anniversary's, reunions or weddings which leaves less room for folks who pay higher rates for concierge services by removing the loungers for signage and later in the day wedding set up. One day the majority of the VIP section was removed for a large message...and there was no event held at all that day. Loungers around the pool or deck area overlooking the beach are reserved for large groups (most popular areas). It was explained to me by the Pool concierge that this space is needed for the larger groups.
Lounge beds in the VIP section have seen better days. The mattresses have collapsed and I left the beach each day with a sore back. They are low to the ground and extremely hard to get in and out of. We eventually moved to the regular lounge chairs.
Many times popular dishes and desserts at the buffet would be empty and not refilled right away. At breakfast the always popular bacon dish...was always empty. Bowls for ice cream were sometimes difficult to find. More than once I sad down at our "fresh table" with food stains on the place mats. Although I appreciate the work that goes in to the authentic cultural dishes, an increase of more traditional north american dishes that would appeal to many would be sincerely appreciated. All of these things are not unusual challenges for a buffet dining room, however, this is a 5-Star Hotel.
As always the folks in the main dining room and "a la cart" restaurants are wonderful. Our thanks to Luis C. Maria, Ernesto, Gabriel, Gabriela, Brian, Andre and Jesus .....sorry for those I missed!
For the first time I am giving Beach Palace a lower rating. I think that this resort has much to offer and there is much that brings us back. But like all things in life...there is room for improvement.
Can not wait to return to this piece of paradise , loved it didn’t want to leave neither did the family . Sun, sea, sand, outstanding food, drinks galore and paradise , if that doesn’t encourage people to go then I have no idea what will
Had a great time there service, food, and entertainment the best.
On arriving you are treated like royalty. from the bus boys to the cleaning staff friendly and very helpful. Our breakfast Chef Gabriella met me with a great smile and cooked my eggs perfect for me.It was the little things that made it a great holiday...
