This is a very average hotel, nothing fancy or exceptionally special about it. It's located about 10min walk from Plaka which is a very touristy part of town near the acropolis and acropolis museum. Also very close to a metro station The staff is very helpful with directions and suggestions. The rooms are tiny, very simple, beds are certainly not the most comfortable. The hotel seems to give itself 4stars, but just because it's in the logo/name, doesn't make it a true 4-star hotel. Overall this is a decent place to rest up for the night after a good day in Athens, but don't expect a luxury experience here.

Mediocre, dated hotel in a noisy, grungy part of town. They print 4 stars on their literature, but I am not sure where they come up with this. I have stayed in true 5 star hotels in some great places, like the 4 Seasons in Maui and this is NOT even in the same solar system of quality and service. I give it a 2.5 stars at best. The rooms are tight, they leave only 2 bath towels and the view out of the rooms were depressing. Also, the online photos make it look like the Acropolis and the Parthenon are close by, but I suspect they used a STRONG telephoto lens because it is very far away. The other photos online looked really nice but we were shocked when we arrived. Every photo looked way better than reality. I still can't figure out how they photo shopped the entry shot. Warning: if you want a quiet, good night's rest, you will not get that at this hotel. The doors/windows are not sealed well, so you can hear the street noise all night long. Final thoughts on Athens: I would do the trip to see the sights differently next time. Stay in a great hotel in a nicer, quieter part of town, then buy the 2 day hop on/hop off bus, grab a cab into town and use this bus to see all the sights. When you are done, get out of the city and go to a beautifully maintained upscale hotel with nice, quiet grounds, and world class service/amenities. You could probably do that cheaply by booking directly with the hotel, then buying the bus pass online, as we did.

This hotel is nestled on a side street near a main square and metro stop. The staff, especially Vassilis and Statis took excellent care of us. They were both most helpful with directions and historical information. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We traveled to Athens with business purposes. We chose for Polis Grand hotel first because of the perfect location, only 2 minutes from the metro station, and 5-10 minutes walking distance to the centre of Athens. There is a direct metro from the Hotel to the airport and also to each part of the city (30 min to the airport, 10 minutes to the city centre and the Port). The rooms are clean and very good. Space enough. Breakfast is good too. The area is perfect for few days in Athens, shops, restaurants in the area + perfect view to the Acropolis. The personal is so nice and kind. They are very polite. We had a late flight, so the hotel allowed us to check out at 17:00, instead of 12:00. Fantastic! For sure next time we will choose the same hotel!

We always look to stay at this hotel when we are in Athens, normally in between our trips out to Syros. The staff are always exceptionally friendly, helpful and supportive. When we were stuck in Athens 2 years ago due to the ferry strikes, they helped us to find something on the main land. Value for money, this hotel we feel is exceptional. They have an excellent memory for faces and welcomed us with open arms. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. Vassilis on reception goes out of his way to help others who need it and always has a smile on his face whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
