1)A very rude German couple was at the royal adult pool everyday. His attitude was like he owned the facility and was way to bossy. There were shouting matches with this couple. At the royal restaurant he would yell ethnic sularges at other other guest. Soooo... Rude! 2) The Grand Pallidum is now parading other guest from the cheaper resort area through the royal to show off the facility, including the royal restaurant and serving them breakfast. A definate inconviece to us that paid the extra for those amenities. Also the pontoon boat used to be always avaiable fro royal guest to ride, Now they are using that as an additional method of showing off the royal and other facilities. Bummer

Disappointed that I paid for Royals and other guests that did not pay for Royals were in front of us at our restaurant. All in the name of travel club promotion SALES SHIT. Guests that paid for the less expensive packages were in our Royal restaurant getting Royal treatment that I paid for. My wife .. More>

Guests that paid for the less expensive packages were in our Royal restaurant getting Royal treatment that I paid for. My wife and I along with the couple we vacationed with were displeased more than once. It got so bad we would leave and go eat at the Buffet where these people that paid less would have eaten at. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT. 4 years ago it was not like that. We will be looking for another place next vacation.

I don't have anything bad to say about this place. From the rooms to the food, to the awesome pools & beaches. I loved this resort and would stay here again. It is nice if you have small kids that aren't old enough to do the excursions because the resort offers so much. I can't wait to come bac .. More>

Everything was 110% amazing. I just did not enjoy that our flight kept getting bumped up earlier and earlier. We had to check out at 3:30am. Next time I'd like the latest flight home- or just not so early. Besides that you get 2 thumbs up and myself and the group I traveled with are already plannin .. More>

Pros- Amazing grounds, clean, incredible service, wonderful drinks, room was very nice, beach was paradise. Cons-My biggest gripe, the food wasn't good. Overcooked meat, bland flavors, and temperatures were off. I also wasn't a fan of the smoking everywhere and pillows were a bit hard. .. More>

We stayed in the GP White Sand 9/8/12-9/14/12 for our one year anniversary. Our room, a mayan suite cabana, was so dirty we had to wear the slippers or we'd have to wash our feet each day. We stayed in the GP White Sand 9/8/12-9/14/12 for our one year anniversary. Our room, a mayan suite cabana, was so dirty we had to wear the slippers or we'd have to wash our feet each day. The outdoor shower - novelty wore off after one day. The outside lights blew a fuse on day four and the maintenance staff fixed it; however, an hour after the left, the fuse blew again. We didn't have exterior lights the remainder of our stay. Often times, our glasses were cracked or broken. The food was terrible - absolutely sub-par. I thought it might be like what you get on a cruise, but this was nearly inedible. The only time I didn't get sick to my stomach was when we ate off property. I actually LOST weight on my vacation. We were constantly pestered about some breakfast meeting to get a tour of the Royal Yucatan for what I’m sure had to be about a timeshare. The people from the Spa were trolling the beach and pools asking us to come in for a service, though we’d already spent $300 there. Honestly, after our second day there, we had already decided that it had been our worst decision for a vacation. I was a little upset with my travel agent, but it isn’t his fault. I will never go back. I don’t know that I’ll ever return to Mexico. What a nightmare.

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Palladium White Sand Resorts and Spa for our 1 Year Anniversary and stayed for 7 days. The entire resort was enormous. We stayed in a Mayan suite which was huge. It was a beautiful setting and very romantic. The housekeeping staff was amazing and kept the room incredibly clean. There was an amazing assortment for buffets and a la carte restaurants to choose from (El Dorado steak house was the best!!). The pools and the beach were AMAZING!!! They were beautiful and the swim up bar was awesome. The only complaints we had were they tried to keep selling us a time share and that they kept calling our room for every little thing. Otherwise, the resort was beautiful and we would defintiely recommend this resort to others.

First things first, this resort is HUGE! Its grounds are beautiful & very well kept. You're greeted in what seems to be a standard manner, very warm & with a welcome drink. The Guest Services staff (the folks who you book your restaurant reservation through) seemed cold, & put off when you go to make your reservations, all of the other staff were awesome. We decided to bring our 9 year old son with us on this vacation and he had a great time too, he only spent one day in the kids club, mainly because no other kids his age were ever in the kids club (it seemed as people would come up & see that it was empty & the kids wouldn't want to stay), kind of a bummer because my wife & I still wanted grown up time. The pool at the White Sands section was a little more laid back that the pool at the colonial side which my wife kinda enjoyed, I would have rather had more activities to do but they do most of them at the colonial pool. The buffet's were all good too, restaurants were decent, had about a 2 hour wait in one and we were the first people in but it was no biggie to us. The beach was ok, definitely better on the colonial side. There were a lot of rocks on our side so we didn't spend a whole lot of time at out beach but we did snorkel & go out on the kayaks. The rooms were always cleaned promptly, don't leave money on the nightstands though, apparently that's where tips are left lol. The beds... ugh. Not impressed at all, I was up tossing & turning every night, the pillows suck too. You can get better pillows for an additional charge but honestly, I could have had a cloud for a pillow & it would not have made my sleeping situation any better because the mattresses are so dang hard, that might work for some folks but not me. All in all we had an awesome time, if the beds were a little better I would definitely give a higher rating.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort and Spa for 7 days. We didn?t choose this location ourselves because we attended a Wedding. The Wedding was beautiful and everything was well organized. If you are looking for a small resort, this is not the place for you. This place is pretty big and there is a lot of walking around to do (personally I didn?t mind).Other than that, our room was clean and spacious, but we had to sleep in two seperate beds (we had two single beds in our room...). The service at the hotel was excellent and the staff members were friendly and efficient. The beach was probably my favourite part of the stay; it was beautiful! The food overall was good; however a third of our group (we were around 30 traveling together for the wedding) got sick. My husband and I travel a lot and it is the first time we get sick like that on a resort (like I said a good 10 people from our group got sick as well). Overall, it is a nice resort but we would not go there again. We had a good time with our friends and everything was ?ok?, but nothing really impressed us. Also, taking in consideration that so many people got sick, I would not risk it again. Food is an important part of your vacation and it?s not pleasant to get sick when you are supposed to rest and have fun.

Right, booked this place for me and my partner, we checked in and were greeted in a nice lobby by bellboys who carry your bags everywhere. We were given a arrival drink and shown to our room. The room was very nice, had a huge jaccuzzi in it, tv, massive kingsize bed, and was always kept clean by the staff. They also make you a towel animal every day. The resort overall has everything, the beach is beutiful, theres watersport (not part of resort but availabl), the big pools are very nice, and the swim up bar compliments them greatly. You can order anything and its part of the all inclusive, this includes champagne, or any coctail on the menu. the staff will also try to accomadate new mixtures, all you have to do is ask. The Buffet restaurants have plenty to offer, everything you'd expect from a top Mexico resort. When it comes to the names restaurants the brazilian is average, chinese really poor, japanese poor, italian ok, but the steak house and ribs n more are unreal!!!. I'd say the best steak I've had ever!. The site is built on waste land and you're constantly walking through tunnels and over bridges, but there is ample trains that come round the resort and take you anywhere you want to go. There is 3 beach bars, one of which is 24hour. Every member of staff were more than helpfull, apart from the staff behind the reception counter, they sempt to feel they were a little more educated than the general staff and their outlook showed this, (not very welcoming). I genuinely think anyone that books this destination and resort will come away happy unless your expecting miracles, if so pay the extra 4/5k to get them!. Now the bad bits..... (which disapointed me greatly as I didnt want there to be any). I asked on day 3 for someone to come to fix the TV in our room as it broke... this never happened. Also there is not much direction around the site, sure they try with their english, but basically if you have a question that requires a little more than a yes/no answer, your on your own... Checking out was a nightmare!, there are 3 lobbys, and we did not have a clue which lobby we would be picked up from, turns out all buses/coaches go to all 3 lobbies, but under the heat of the moment we spent a good half day looking for answers in folders, and ended up having to ring home to get the answer!. Finally, when you look at the seafood restaurant and think "mmm that'll be nice" dont bother!, I'm more than sure when you get there it would be immense, but we were told to book for the following day basically every day we were there, and hey presto would you believe it choose what time we went down to the lobby we could not get a table there for love nor money!. I dont know what system they use, but it doesnt work!. Overall PLEASE DO NOT let the bad's above put you off this resort, I am doing this review as honest as I can in order to hopefully help some people with their holliday. It is a great place, and I'm more than sure you will all have a great time there. Enjoy :-D

Let me begin with saying this was our second time staying at the Palladium White Sands. The first time was so wonderful we made the HUGE mistake of purchasing one of the promotional packages. Upon arrival we were looking forward to the exceptional service that spoiled us last year and even more, as we were now world pass holders? Ha. From the moment we arrived the atmosphere was a complete 180 from last year?s fantastic reception. We were immediately informed that the promotional deal we purchased was no longer available and they no longer honored the contract. It was only with help from Guillermo that we received our airport transportation to the resort as stated in our world pass contract. After that everything else stated was denied. Our papers were in order and signed but we were not only given the run around by an exceptionally rude Jaoquin we were intimidated and not given any options other than ?PAY? for a room that we didn?t request and a price that was not on our printed reservation. With no options given, we requested to move to the next available room with a view as our reservations requested and our price reflected. We were put on a list and waited days. We had to repeatedly pursue the change. When we were finally given the upgrade, rude Palladium personal made it as difficult as possible, making us leave our current room for the better part of the day. Although Palladium never once called us or made any attempt to pursue the upgrade we were now called repeatedly and warned that we must pay extra, must be out or our current room, our suitcases in the lobby and keys turned in no later than ten. We would not be allowed to return to our new room before three. Aside from Jaoquin and the unbelievable rude service, the resort had also changed for the worse. The public bathrooms were often dirty with one of the beach bathrooms having every seat broken except one, it was missing all together. One pool bar had missing tiles with exposed framing and although I am a huge advocate of tipping and never left our room without money, many of the bars were less than welcoming. On top of that we did not receive the upgrade on drinks as our Promotional Package paperwork clearly stated. For the most part the restaurants and the service were wonderful. The exceptional vegetarian dishes for our daughter were greatly appreciated. But the Teppanyaki Grille, where our chef got mad at the helpful waiter, and stomped off cutting our much anticipated dinner short, and the Rodizio where we were invisible and sat with empty drinks, and dirty dishes for almost 30 minutes, before tracking down a waiter and being served a tasteless dinner of dry over cooked meats, left us regretting our wasted evenings. The animals were a constant source of entertainment. The pools, especially the salt water and adult pools were wonderful as was the beach. If you like nature and walking, the trails were amazing. And their dedication to the environment and being green remarkable. When tired the resort transportation was the best with exceptionally helpful drivers. But after feeling intimated, offended and generally not welcome, not to mention blatantly ripped off upon arrival we will never go back. Palladium is worth considering and once you get passed the rude personal and the deceptive sales people it?s a nice enough place but unless you?re into verbal abuse and throwing your money away, never, NEVER consider the PROMOTIONAL PACKAGE. Remember the room you request and the price reflected is NOT guaranteed. And it?s just a matter of chance, as to whether you will actually get the room requested, the price reflected or anybody that cares once you arrive. It?s as Jaoquin said with a condescending smirk, ?there?s nothing you can do about it, but PAY.? Good Luck!
